Alexey Solovyov is a venture capital investor.
Biography
He graduated from MSTU named after Bauman, studied venture capital investments at Berkley University HAAS BusinessSchool (USA, California).
Before joining the venture industry, he worked for more than 7 years in IT companies (Optima and IBS), and was also the director of the IT practice of the investment company ru-Net Leonid Boguslavsky.
Alexey Solovyov has been a professional in investment since 2011, when he began his activities in the venture market as the head and one of the partners of the Prostor Capital fund.
Since 2017, Alexey was a partner and managing director of iTech Capital, where he was responsible for managing the funds of Prostor Capital and Skolkovo Digital.
As of October 2017, Prostor Capital is one of four funds with a total volume of more than $200 million managed by the investment company iTech Capital, and Alexei is its partner and managing director. Among the portfolio companies of iTech are such leaders of their markets as Aviasales, Ticketland, Bitfury and iContext.
Alexey Solovyov takes an active part in the development of the venture capital investment industry in the Russian Federation, being a member of the Market Council under the RVC.
As of January 2020, Alexey is developing his own investment company A.Partners, which is engaged in the launch and support of projects in the markets of innovation, technology and niche growth. Among the projects of A.Partners is the Round-A online academy for entrepreneurs, which helps entrepreneurs find investments for their projects.
He also acts as a venture partner of the Skolkovo Ventures Foundation, takes an active part in the development of the venture investment industry in the Russian Federation, being a member of the Market Council at the RVC, and is the author of the cycle of annual research on technology entrepreneurship markets and venture investments Startup Barometer and Venture Barometer.

Social activities
As of January 2020, he was the speaker of major industry events, such as the Russian Investment Forum in Sochi, Open Innovations, Startup Village, Atlanta. He regularly lectures on the topic of venture capital investment in such educational institutions as the Moscow School of Management Skolkovo, HSE and Innopolis University.
