1984-1986 Member of the State Council of the Chuvash Republic.

Since 1986 - lecturer at Chuvash State University, associate professor of the Department of Economic Theory and Market Economy.

1994-1997 Deputy Director of the Institute of Economics, Finance and Law (Cheboksary).

1995-1997 Director of the Cheboksary branches of the Moscow Commercial Bank.

1997: Minister of Economy of the Chuvash Republic

1997-2000 Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Minister of Economy of the Chuvash Republic.

Under the leadership of A.G. Aksakov, the following were developed:

In the early 1990s - the Program for the transfer of Chuvashia to market relations, aimed at the smooth entry of the Republic into the market. This made it possible to generally preserve the economic potential of Chuvashia in the implementation of reforms in the 1990s by the federal authorities.

Anti-Crisis Program (1998 Priority Measures Program) of the Chuvash Republic. The implementation of the Anti-Crisis Program made it possible to increase the volume of industrial production, pay off debts on social benefits and wages.

1999 - The program of socio-economic development of the Chuvash Republic for the medium term, which outlined socio-economic problems and ways to solve them, including development:

• science-intensive techniques and technologies
• informatization of all socio-economic processes

1999: State Duma Deputy

2003-2007 - Deputy of the State Duma of the fourth convocation from the Cheboksary single-mandate constituency, deputy chairman of the Committee on Credit Institutions and Financial Markets.

2005: End of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia

In 2005 he graduated from the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation with the qualification of "specialist in the field of international relations."
