Biographical reference

Andrey Azhigirov graduated from the Moscow State Technical University of Radio Engineering, Electronics and Automation. His career began in 1996, when he took the position of manager of Macomnet CJSC. In the same position in 1997-1999. he began working at Sovintel, and later, at the end of 1999, moved to the position of director for interaction with telecom operators in this company.

From 2000 to 2003, he served as Deputy General Director of Sovintel for interaction with telecom operators.

In 2003, Andrei Agigirov joined Golden Telecom as Director for Interaction with National Telecom Operators. After working in this position for 3 years, in 2006 he moved to the post of vice president for interaction with Golden Telecom telecom operators. After the merger of Golden Telecom with VimpelCom, Andrei Agigirov continued to work at VimpelCom, where he first worked as director of interaction with telecom and roaming operators (from 2007 to September 2014), and later as director of integrated and infrastructure projects.

2015: MTT Deputy General Director for Business Development

On May 19, 2015, Interregional TransitTelecom OJSC (MTT), the federal operator of long-distance and international communications and intelligent communications services in the Russian Federation, announced the appointment of Andrei Agigirov as Deputy General Director for Business Development of MTT.

At this post, Andrei Agigirov took up the development of the inter-operator business of MTT. He was responsible for working with national and international telecom operators, as well as expanding the portfolio of services provided for existing and new MTT partners. Among its key tasks are the formation of a new full-cycle business unit for interaction with telecom operators, the development and implementation of a new system approach to managing the inter-operator segment of MTT.
