Career
2016-2020
From 2016 to 2020 Anna Markova was the head of the department of the polyclinic of the Lipetsk city hospital No. 3 "Svobodny Sokol." And before that, she worked as a therapist at the city hospital No. 1 and polyclinic No. 6 in Lipetsk.
In 2020, Anna Markova took the post of chief physician of the Lipetsk city polyclinic No. 2.
2023: Appointment as Head of the Lipetsk Oblast Health Department
At the end of December 2023, the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation agreed on the appointment of Anna Markova as the new head of the health department of the Lipetsk region. Prior to that, she worked as deputy head of the department.
Yuri Shurshukov, who headed the Health Department of the Lipetsk Region since September 2018, resigned of his own free will in mid-September 2023. In October 2023, Alexander Golikov, who previously held the post of deputy head, became the acting head of the regional health department. Then Lilia Samoshina, the chief physician of the Dobrinsky central regional hospital, became his deputy together with Anna Markova.
At the end of December 2023, the Governor of the Lipetsk Region Igor Artamonov met with Anna Markova. He stressed that in regional medicine there are a number of issues that require special attention.

2025: Dismissal from the post of Minister of Health of the Lipetsk Region and transfer to the Lipetsk branch of the Russian University of Medicine
In November 2025, the Minister of Health of the Lipetsk Region Anna Markova announced a significant step in her career - she quit and accepted the offer of the rector of the Russian University of Medicine to join the team of the Lipetsk branch. This event was the fulfillment of the dream of the medical community of the region, supported by the governor Igor Artamonov. Markova noted that this is not just a change of work, but the continuation of a joint path with medical workers who make healthcare stronger.[2]
