Biography

Evgenia Batueva graduated from Baikal State University of Economics and Law in 2003 with a degree in State and Municipal Administration. Later she took advanced training courses in various programs.

She also worked in senior positions at Chitaenergo, a branch of IDGC of Siberia-Chitaenergo.

In 2012, she was appointed to the post of head of the regional service for tariffs and pricing, was the deputy head of the service, and in December 2016 she became the head of the service.

In July 2019, Evgenia Batueva was appointed Minister of Housing and Communal Services, power, Digitalization and Communications of the Trans-Baikal Territory. The agency she headed is new. It was formed in May 2019 by reorganizing the Ministry of Territorial Development of the Trans-Baikal Territory, which oversaw, among other things, the implementation of the Digital Economy national project at the regional level. The department was divided into two ministries - the Ministry of Construction, Road Facilities and Transport and the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services, power, Digitalization and Communications of the Trans-Baikal Territory. The latter is responsible for IT, information protection and communication issues.

Before the reorganization, the direction of informatization, communications and information protection in the Ministry of Territorial Development of Transbaikalia was supervised by Deputy Minister Dmitry Shlidt. His further fate on the website of the regional government is not specified.

One of the priority projects within the framework of the Digital Economy national project, implemented in Transbaikalia, is the connection to the Internet to more than 1,000 facilities throughout the region.
