2025: Arrest in the case of donations to the Armed Forces of Ukraine
On October 13, 2025, the Savelovsky District Court of Moscow granted the investigator's request to choose a preventive measure in the form of detention against Yuri Mikhailovich Belenky, Chief information officer of one of the companies. He is accused of facilitating terrorist activities.
According to TASS, referring to information from open sources, a person with the same name, patronymic and surname works as the Chief information officer of DiHouse. It supplies electronics, household appliances, smart home devices, digital gadgets and accessories to the markets of Russia and the CIS.
| According to the investigation, in the period from January 2023 to March 2024, the person involved in financing the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as a terrorist organization whose activities are prohibited in the Russian Federation, made money transfers in cryptocurrency, the Courts of General Jurisdiction of the city of Moscow said. |
According to the Kommersant newspaper, Belenky transferred money to journalist Arkady Babchenko (recognized as a foreign agent in Russia), who collects funds to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine and sponsors a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation. In total, the accused made transactions in cryptocurrency in the amount of 60 thousand rubles.
The criminal case was initiated under Part 1.1 of Art. 205.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - assistance to terrorist activities. Such acts are punishable by imprisonment for a term of 8 to 15 years with a fine of 300 thousand to 700 thousand rubles. It is emphasized that the court refused to satisfy the petition of the accused and his defender to elect Belenky a preventive measure in the form of house arrest, bail or prohibition of certain actions. The defendant, according to the decision, was detained for a period of 1 month 28 days.[1]
