The transfer of control to the level of the UAC parent company will allow us to concentrate all the corporation's resources on fulfilling specific tasks for timely certification and launching serial production of a line of domestic civilian liners, the UAC said in a statement.

The company added that the transfer of management of civil programs occurred "taking into account the special importance of the implementation of priority civil programs of the UAC, as well as the need to implement the tasks of import substitution, certification and launch of serial production of domestic civil liners in an unprecedentedly short time."

According to Kommersant, citing a source in the aviation industry, Boginsky was fired at the direction of Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin "for the failure of the civil aviation program."[1]

2025: Appointment as new CEO of car maker Aurus

In early September 2025, it became known that Andrei Boginsky was appointed to the post of general director of the Russian executive car manufacturer Aurus. In this position, he replaced Andrei Pankov, who headed the company since December 2022.

According to BUSINESS Online, citing information received from knowledgeable sources, the personnel changes are related to Aurus' intentions to scale the business. It is planned to organize the production of premium cars at the former Toyota plant in St. Petersburg. The venture is expected to be led by Pankov, who was previously CEO of Renault's Russian division. The plant is expected to produce cars under a different brand, and a well-known Chinese company may be among the founders.

Andrey Boginsky

Maxim Kadakov, editor-in-chief of Za Rulem magazine, believes that Boginsky as part of Aurus will be responsible for the further development of the direction of executive cars. We are talking primarily about the Senat luxury sedan in various variations and the Komendant crossover. In turn, Pankov, according to Kadakov, will lead the direction of premium cars - more mass models that will be produced at the former Toyota plant in St. Petersburg. Such cars are one or two steps below Aurus luxury cars in class.

I see this alignment so much, and in fact it is correct, because the tasks are a little different, the cars are completely different, and there is a lot of work in this second direction. I think that spraying in two directions is simply not enough time. In this sense, it seems to me that this is the right approach for Andrei Pankov to focus on the second direction, - comments Kadakov personnel changes in Aurus.[2]?
