Helicopters of Russia is one of the world leaders in the helicopter industry, the only developer and manufacturer of helicopters in Russia, as well as one of the few companies in the world with the ability to design, produce, test and maintain modern civilian and military helicopters. The head office of Helicopters of Russia is located in Moscow.

Helicopters are purchased by Russian ministries and departments (Ministry of Defense of Russia, FSB of Russia, GUVD of Moscow, EMERCOM of Russia), airlines (GazpromAvia, UTAir), large Russian companies. 2023: Revenue growth by 5% to RUB 246.86 billion

At the end of 2023, the Russian Helicopters group received consolidated revenue of 246.86 billion rubles. This is approximately 5% more compared to the result for the previous year (235.56 billion rubles). Such data are given in the financial report published at the end of May 2024.

The increase in revenue was due to an increase in the supply of helicopter equipment at state regulated prices. The group's share in Russia in the military helicopter segment in 2023 remained at the level of 100%. In the segment of civil technology, the share also reached 100%, having increased by 48.68% compared to 2021 due to the cessation of deliveries of helicopters from foreign manufacturers in the current geopolitical situation. In the foreign market, the share of Russian Helicopters in the civilian segment in 2023 is 4.95%.

Russian Helicopters received consolidated revenue of 246.86 billion rubles

It is reported that the net profit of the group in 2023 amounted to 6.29 billion rubles. For comparison: a year earlier, Russian Helicopters earned 11.61 billion rubles. Thus, profit on an annualized basis fell by about 46%. Net debt was recorded at 71.5 billion rubles (plus 5% compared to 2022), the volume of loans and loans - 176.5 billion rubles (plus 18%).

In addition, Rostvertol, a subsidiary of Russian Helicopters that produces civilian and military vehicles, disclosed its financial performance. In 2023, Rostvertol demonstrated a net profit of 1.32 billion rubles. For comparison: in 2022, the figure was 839 million rubles, and in 2021 - 353 million rubles. Thus, in three years, the company has almost quadrupled its net profit. It is noted that Western sanctions do not affect the work of the enterprise, the village "helicopters that are produced by Rostvertol do not contain foreign components[1]

2015

The revenue of Helicopters of Russia in 2015 increased by 29.5% compared to 2014 and amounted to 220 billion rubles. Net profit exceeded 42.2 billion rubles, which is 2 times higher than in 2014. EBITDA in 2015 grew by 39.5% to RUB 65.6 billion and EBITDA margin was 29.8%.

2014: Ranked 23 on the list of the 100 largest gun manufacturers in the world

At the end of 2014, the company took 23rd place in the list of 100 leading world arms manufacturers prepared by the Stockholm Institute for Peace Research (SIPRI). Arms sales of the enterprise in 2014 amounted to $3,890 million[2]

2013:14% in global helicopter market

According to the holding in 2013, over 8500 Russian-made helicopters are operated in more than 100 countries. Russian helicopters occupy 85% of the Russian helicopter market, and the company accounts for 14% of global sales.

As of 2013, 35% of the world's fleet of combat helicopters, 74% of the world fleet of super-heavy helicopters with a maximum takeoff weight of more than 20 tons, and 56% of the world fleet of medium-heavy helicopters with a maximum takeoff weight of 8 to 15 tons were produced at the enterprises of the Russian Helicopters holding.

The company's solid order portfolio for August 2013 amounted to 870 helicopters for a total amount of more than 388 billion rubles.

Products

For 2014, the range of products produced by Helicopters of Russia mainly includes middle and heavy class civilian and military vehicles. In the near future, the holding plans to increase the volume of production of light class models, which should contribute to the expansion of its presence in the international market. In particular, we are talking about such models as Ansat, Ka-226T. The innovations of the middle class will soon become Ka-62, Mi-171A2, Mi-38. Currently, the following models are in serial production: Ka-226, Ka-27, Ka-29, Ka-31, Ka-32A11VS, Ka-52 Alligator, Ansat/Ansat-U, various modifications of Mi-8/17, Mi-26 (T), Mi-35M, Mi-28N "Night Hunter."

2017: Ansat Helicopter Distribution in Mexico

Rostec At the end of October 2017, the state corporation and its subsidiary holding Russian Helicopters held talks with the Mexican company Craft Avia Center on the sale and service of Ansat helicopters in the Mexican market. As of October 23, 2017, Craft Avia Center applied to the aviation authorities Mexico with a request to validate the Russian flight certificate of Ansat.

Craft Avia Center has already begun construction of a site that will house the 4000 sq. m Ansat helicopter maintenance and repair center, as well as a showroom for demonstrating helicopters and selling responsible storage services. This center is also planned to be certified, said Dmitry Lelikov.

As of October 2017, the fleet of Russian helicopters in Mexico includes about 50 Mi-8/17 family vehicles, as well as two Mi-26 helicopters.

2016: Rostec sold RDIF 25% of Russian Helicopters for $600 million

The state corporation Rostec"" within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) signed an agreement with the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) on the sale of a 25% stake in the Helicopters subsidiary Russia for $600 million.

The mechanism of the transaction involves the sale by Rostec of a stake in the Russian Helicopters holding to the Russian Direct Investment Fund, as well as RDIF's subscription to new shares issued by Russian Helicopters. Thus, we are talking about the sale by Rostec of part of the existing stake and an increase in the authorized capital of the holding, which will allow us to concentrate a significant amount of funds within the Russian Helicopters. 2012: Revenue growth to RUB 125 bn (+ 21 %)

In 2012, revenue increased by 21% compared to 2011 and amounted to 125.7 billion rubles, the indicator EBITDA increased by 16% and amounted to 20.8 billion rubles, profit increased by 35.2% to 9.4 billion rubles. 2007: Formation of the Holding Company

Russian Helicopters was formed in 2007 and is a subsidiary of Oboronprom defense industry, part of the Russian Technologies State Corporation. The holding has combined the assets of all helicopter-building plants in Russia, enterprises for the production of components, companies providing after-sales support for helicopter equipment in the Russian Federation and beyond. Research and development work of the holding is carried out in two largest world-class helicopter engineering schools: the Moscow Helicopter Plant named after M.L. Mile and OKB named after Kamov. The number of employees of the holding is about 40 thousand people.

The reason for the creation of the holding was the need to consolidate the industry, develop unified technological processes and make unified decisions for civilian and military products.
