Russian Helicopters is one of the world leaders in the helicopter construction industry, the only developer and manufacturer of helicopters in Russia, as well as one of the few companies in the world with the ability to design, manufacture, test and maintain modern civilian and military helicopters. Traditionally, the highest demand for Russian helicopters is in the Middle East, Africa, the Asia-Pacific region, Latin America, Russia and the CIS countries.

The revenue of Helicopters Russia in 2015 increased by 29.5% compared to 2014 and amounted to 220 billion rubles. Net profit exceeded 42.2 billion rubles, which is 2 times higher than in 2014. EBITDA in 2015 showed growth of 39.5% and amounted to 65.6 billion rubles, EBITDA margin was 29.8%.

2014: 23rd place in the list of 100 largest weapons manufacturers in the world

At the end of 2014, the company took 23rd place in the list of 100 leading world arms manufacturers prepared by the Stockholm Institute for Peace Research (SIPRI). Arms sales of the enterprise in 2014 amounted to $3 890 million^[1]

2013:14% in the global helicopter market

According to the holding in 2013, over 8,500 Russian-made helicopters are operated in more than 100 countries. Russian Helicopters occupy 85% of the Russian helicopter market; in world sales, the company accounts for 14%.

As of 2013, the enterprises of the Russian Helicopters holding produced 35% of the world fleet of combat helicopters, 74% of the world fleet of super-heavy helicopters with a maximum take-off weight of more than 20 tons, as well as 56% of the world fleet of medium-heavy helicopters with a maximum take-off weight of 8 to 15 tons.

Products

For 2014, the range of products produced by Russian Helicopters mainly includes medium and heavy class civil and military vehicles. In the near future, the holding plans to increase the volume of light class models, which should contribute to the expansion of its presence on the international market. In particular, we are talking about models such as Ansat, Ka-226T. The novelties of the middle class will soon be Ka-62, Mi-171A2, Mi-38. 2017: Distribution of Ansat helicopters in Mexico

At the end of October 2017, Rostec State Corporation and its subsidiary Russian Helicopters Holding held talks with the Mexican company Craft Avia Center on the sale and maintenance of Ansat helicopters on the Mexican market. As of October 23, 2017, the Craft Avia Center filed an application with the Mexican aviation authorities with a request to validate the Russian Ansat flight certificate.

Deputy General Director of Rostec State Corporation Dmitry Lelikov and CEO of Russian Helicopters Holding Andrei Boginsky held talks with Craft Avia Center CEO Jose de Vicente on plans to organize Ansatov distribution in Mexico, discussing potential demand for Russian civilian helicopters in the Mexican market, as well as the process of obtaining a Mexican certificate for the Ansat helicopter.

Craft Avia Center has asked us to become a distributor of Ansat helicopters in the Mexican market. We have already prepared and sent a commercial proposal for the supply of one machine, which will be used as a demonstrator to potential buyers. Our proposal is being considered by the other side, and we hope to sign the contract in the near future, "said Andrei Boginsky, general director of Russian Helicopters Holding.

Craft Avia Center has already begun construction of the site, which will house the Ansat helicopter maintenance and repair center with an area of ​ ​ 4,000 square meters. m, as well as a showroom for demonstrating helicopters and selling responsible storage services. This center is also planned to be certified, said Dmitry Lelikov.

According to October 2017, the fleet of Russian helicopters in Mexico includes about 50 Mi-8/17 family vehicles, as well as two Mi-26 helicopters.

2016: Rostec sold 25% of Russian Helicopters to RDIF for $600 million

The state corporation Rostec"" within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) signed an agreement with the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) on the sale of a 25% stake in the Helicopter subsidiary Russia for $600 million.

The transaction mechanism implies the sale by Rostec of a stake in the Russian Helicopters holding to the Russian Direct Investment Fund, as well as the RDIF's subscription to new shares issued by Russian Helicopters. Thus, we are talking about the sale by Rostec of part of the existing stake and an increase in the authorized capital of the holding, which will concentrate a significant amount of funds inside the Russian Helicopters. 2012: Revenue growth up to 125 billion rubles (+ 21 %)

In 2012, revenue grew by 21% compared to 2011 and amounted to 125.7 billion rubles, the indicator EBITDA increased by 16% and amounted to 20.8 billion rubles, profit increased by 35.2% to 9.4 billion rubles. 2011: Completion of holding formation

In 2010, the revenue of Russian Helicopters under IFRS amounted to $2.2 billion, while deliveries amounted to 214 helicopters.

2007: Holding Formation

Russian Helicopters was formed in 2007 and is a subsidiary of Defense Industry Defense Company, part of Rostekhnologii State Corporation. The holding combined the assets of all helicopter construction plants in Russia, enterprises for the production of components, companies that provide after-sales support for helicopter equipment in the Russian Federation and abroad. The holding's research and development work is carried out in two largest world-class helicopter schools: the Moscow Helicopter Plant named after M.L. Mil and the Kamova Design Bureau. The number of employees of the holding is about 40 thousand people.

The reason for the creation of the holding was the need to consolidate the industry, develop unified technological processes and make unified decisions for civilian and military products.
