2022: Vice-Chairman of SOPC ccNSO

Deputy Director Domain Coordination Center.RU/.RF Irina Danelia has been appointed Deputy Chairman of the Strategic and Operational Standing Committee (SOPC). National Domain Support Organizations (ccNSO) Chairman of the committee appointed, Andreas Musielak member of the board of DENIC, registration.DE domain. This was announced by the Coordination Center on January 14, 2022.

Over the past years, Irina has been actively involved in the work of SOPC and working groups on the development of policies regarding national domains, and in 2020 was elected a member of the Council of ccNSO.

The previous chairman of the committee, Giovanni Seppia, who for many years served as the external relations manager of the domain registration. EU EURid and represented the European domain. EU in ccNSO, in December 2021 moved to work at ICANN and, accordingly, left the post of chairman of SOPC.

I would like to thank Giovanni Seppia for his outstanding contribution to the work of ccNSO and SOPC, for the great work that he conducted over the years for the benefit of the entire Internet community. One of the main tasks of the committee is to increase the participation of national registrars in the strategic and operational planning processes of ICANN, and this task was successfully implemented under the leadership of Giovanni.
