Career
of state power St. Petersburg Alexander Demidov has been working in the bodies since 1996. At different times, he held the posts of chief programmer, head of the department of information and analytical support and development of the informatization industry of the Committee on Informatization and Communications of St. Petersburg, deputy chairman of the Committee for Work with Executive Bodies of State Power and Interaction with Local Authorities of St. Petersburg.
In January 2011 he was appointed chairman of the Committee on Informatization and Communications of St. Petersburg, and in April 2012 he was replaced by Ivan Gromov.
In June 2012, Alexander Demidov was appointed chairman of the Committee on Telecommunications and Informatization of the Government of the Leningrad Region.
On January 22, 2014, the regional government announced the dismissal of Demidov from this position, as well as the dismissal of his first deputy Boris Isaev. In both cases, this happened at will, follows from the statement of the government.
The performance of the duties of the chairman for telecommunications and informatization after the dismissal of Alexander Demidov was entrusted to his second deputy - Daniil Sorokin.
It is worth noting that less than a month before the dismissal of officials - at the end of December 2013 - the Minister of Communications Nikolai Nikiforov published a regional rating for the launch of SMEV, according to which the indicator of "readiness for the test environment" of the Leningrad Region was 100%, and "readiness in a productive environment" - only 8%. With this result, described by the minister as "bad," the region took 77th place out of 83 in the rating.
