Biography
Vladimir Aleksandrovich Dmitriyev was born on August 25, 1953 in Moscow.
In 1975 graduated from the Moscow financial institution majoring in "The international economic relations". Doctor of Economics, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences.
Since 1993 Vladimir Dmitriyev worked in the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, holding a position of the deputy chief, head of the department of the foreign credits and an external debt of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation.
In June, 1997 V.A. Dmitriyev was appointed the First Deputy Chairman of Vnesheconombank of the USSR.
In 2002 - 2004 years was the vice president – the Chairman of the board of JSC Vneshtorgbank.
In May, 2004 it is appointed the Chairman of Vnesheconombank of the USSR.
Since June, 2007 is the Chairman of the "Development Bank and Foreign Economic Activity (Vnesheconombank)" state corporation.
In February, 2016 the President of Russia Vladimir Putin dismissed Vladimir Dmitriyev of the chairman of Vnesheconombank. Resignation became relevant in connection with problems of state corporation. The scale of problems of VEB was estimated at the amount about 1.5 trillion rub[1].
Awards
For a big contribution to development of a financial banking system of Russia, long-term and fair work Excellent student of Vnesheconombank is awarded with an order "For Merit to the Fatherland" 4th Class, an Order of Honour, a medal of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland" of the II degree, the Honourable breastplate of the Association of Russian Banks "For merits before bank community", the breastplate. His name is included in the Book of Honour of Vnesheconombank.
