Biography
A significant part of Dmitry Khalin's work, which began in 1994 as a programmer at the Research Center for Computer Engineering (NICEVT), is associated with Microsoft. Khalin became part of the software giant's team in 1999, first taking the post of marketing manager, and then the head of the department for working with Microsoft corporate partners.
In 2006, Dmitry Khalin temporarily left Microsoft, moving to the Russian representative office of Xerox as marketing director. A year later, in 2007, he returned to Microsoft and headed the Department of Strategic Technologies of the Russian representative office of the company.
In 2009, he received the position of Director of the Department for Work with Small and Medium-Sized Organizations and Partners of Microsoft Russia, which he held until 2013, after which he was appointed Director of the Department of Technological Policy of the Russian office of Microsoft, which he currently holds. Also, since 2013, he has been acting General Director of Microsoft Development Center Rus and is responsible for the implementation of the artificial intelligence strategy.
In November 2019, the MTS Operator announced the change of two vice presidents responsible for digital solutions and personnel management. The first position will be taken by Dmitry Khalin, acting director of the technological policy department of the Russian office of Microsoft, and Tatyana Chernysheva will become vice president of human resources.
Dmitry Khalin in 1994 graduated from the Department of Systems Analysis of the Faculty of Cybernetics of the Moscow Engineering and Physical Institute (MEPhI), in 2014 received an MBA from the Moscow School of Management Skolkovo. In 2017, he confirmed the certificate of the architect of digital solutions on the cloud platform.
Since 2018, Khalin has been an expert on artificial intelligence of the Committee on New Technologies, Innovation and Cybersecurity of the Association of Professional Directors of the ANDA.
