Biography

Dmitry Vinogradov graduated from the Moscow Institute of Transport Engineers, which is now called the Russian University of Transport (MIIT).

He began his career in the IT industry in 2000.

2002: Coming to Merlion

In 2002, Dmitry Vinogradov came to Merlion. Prior to that, he worked for the JIB Group. 

2016: Appointment as CEO of Merlion

On December 23, 2016, Merlion, one of the largest IT distributors in Russia, announced the change of CEO. It was Dmitry Vinogradov, who has been working for the company since 2002.

Vinogradov will replace Sergei Raskolov as head of Merlion, who remains in the company where he worked for more than 13 years. The new position of Raskolov is not specified, he headed Merlion since March 2013.

As CEO of Merlion, Dmitry Vinogradov will continue to develop all key areas, such as distribution, service, retail and production.

Merlion said that before joining the highest leadership position, Vinogradov successfully developed various areas of business and headed the company's largest division by turnover, the wide-profile distribution division.

2021: President's appointment of Merlion

Dmitry Vinogradov was appointed director of Merlion Group Limited, the parent company of the Merlion group. On September 17, 2021, TAdviser was told about this in Merlion. The group includes Merlion LLC, Citylink LLC and other subsidiaries of the group.

In addition, as a direct manager, Dmitry Vinogradov will take the position of president of the Merlion group of companies. At the same time, he will continue to carry out operational management of all business areas that he previously led, including the main distribution one, the company also specified TAdviser.

In 2007, Merlion announced the abolition of the position of president[1] and, judging by information in open sources, since then no one has worked in such a position in the company.

Dmitry Vinogradov confidently led the company through the crisis when its shareholders have been in jail since October 2020 as defendants in a criminal case on the assassination of former Merlion CEO Vyacheslav Simonenko. As of September 2021, the investigation of this case has not yet been completed. The group's revenue for 2020 increased by 34%, to 415 billion rubles. This, probably, Vinogradov strengthened his confidence in himself, which was reflected in the increase in his role in the group.

Boris Mikhailov, who previously served as executive director and was engaged in administrative tasks, was appointed to the post of general director of Merlion LLC instead of Dmitry Vinogradov on September 8, 2021.

2022: APKIT Board Member

In October 2022, Dmitry Vinogradov was included in the board of APKIT.

2023: Stepping down as CEO of Merlion

In February 2023, Sergei Raskolov replaced Dmitry Vinogradov as general director of the Merlion group, the company said. Dmitry Vinogradov remains in Merlion. Read more here.
