Born August 26, 1971 in Moscow.

Education

In 1996 he graduated from the Finance Academy under the Government of the Russian Federation (since 2010 - Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation) with a degree in Finance and Credit.

Career

1988: CBR

In 1988, he got a job as an economist in the department of issue and cash work of the Main Directorate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation for the Moscow Region, while working at the Central Bank until 1994, he also held the position of leading economist of the Department of Economic Analysis of the Economic Administration.

1994: Unicombank

In 1994-1998 worked at Unicombank UACB (license revoked in 1999), first as a leading economist, then as head of the issue department of the securities directorate, deputy head of the Securities Department, head of the Lending and Investment Department.

1998: Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Republican Bank

2021: Detention and house arrest

In January 2021, the Basmanny Court of Moscow sent Dmitry Golovanov, chairman of the board of the Russian Bank for Support of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses (SME Bank), under house arrest.

Golovanov is accused of abuse of power with serious consequences. "The Basmanny Court granted the petition of the investigation to elect a preventive measure against Dmitry Yaroslavich Golovanov in the form of house arrest for a period until March 27, 2021," the court said.
