2023: Appointment as Head of the Department of Health of the Oryol Region

In mid-December 2023, it became known about the appointment of Dmitry Pukha as the new head of the Health Department of the Oryol Region. He replaced Igor Petchin. The reasons for the dismissal of the latter are not named.

By October 17, 2023, little information about the new head of the Health Department of the Oryol Region was published in the public domain. According to local media reports, before moving to the region, Dmitry Pukh worked at the Arkhangelsk Regional Clinical Hospital (OKB) as the head of neurosurgical resuscitation. Pooh was appointed to the post of deputy head in early 2023. It is known that Pooh arrived in the Oryol region at the invitation of Petchin.

I admit that the proposal was very unexpected. As a result, he accepted, decided that a lot can be done and changed in the organization of medical care, the treatment of patients, working in the position that was offered to me. We worked with Igor Vasilyevich (Petchin) for a long time, we managed to establish a good tandem. The desire to continue working with him was, perhaps, not the most decisive, but weighty, - said then Pooh in an interview with Oreltimes.

The resignation of Igor Petchin took place against the background of the rotation of personnel in the government of the Oryol region, which the governor held on October 16, 2023. Together with the head of the regional Department of Health, the heads of the departments of education and the agro-industrial complex, Alexei Karlov and Alexander Shalimov, left their posts.^[1]

2024: Resignation from the post of head of the Department of Health of the Oryol region

In January 2024, the head of the Department of Health of the Oryol Region, Dmitry Pukh, resigned without working in this position for three months. Vladimir Nikolaev has been appointed acting head of the department.

According to the portal Oreltimes, Dmitry Pooh did not attend the meeting of the profile committee of the Department of Health of the Oryol Region. On the official website of the department, the name of Pukha also disappeared from the line "leader." The press service of the Department of Health clarified to the publication that Dmitry Pukh left the post of his own free will on January 8, 2024.

Dmitry Pukh was appointed head of the Department of Health of the Oryol Region in October 2023. Prior to that, he worked for several months as deputy head of this department. Pooh arrived in Orel in February 2023 from the Arkhangelsk region at the invitation of the ex-head of the Department of Health Igor Petchin.

By January 19, 2024, there is no information on the appointment of a new head of the health department of the Oryol region. It is not known whether Vladimir Nikolaev will temporarily perform duties or appoint a new leader. However, this transition to a new position could affect the development of health care in the region.

Vladimir Nikolaev was previously the deputy head of the Oryol Department of Health - the head of the health department. Nikolaev already headed the department in the same status from May to November 2021 - after its head Ivan Zalogin became the main person involved in the criminal case of abuse of office.^[2]
