2022: Appointment as CEO of Russian Space Systems

At the end of December 2022, it was announced the appointment of Gennady Erokhin as the new general director of Russian Space Systems (RKS; included in the state corporation "Roscosmos").

According to the press service of the RKS, the area of ​ ​ responsibility of Gennady Erokhin includes, in particular, leadership in the development of an integrated on-board information system (IBIS). This technology is an import-independent "core" of onboard systems for existing and new types of spacecraft using unified technical solutions and only a domestic element base. Its implementation will reduce the cost and timing of the creation of satellites, as well as organize their mass production, added to the Russian Space Systems^[1]

It is noted that Andrei Tyulin, who has served as general director of the RKS since 2014, will be transferred to the board of the Military Industrial Commission under the Government of the Russian Federation, where he will oversee the rocket and space industry.
