2023: Charge of taking bribes while supplying medical equipment

The director of the Ulyanovsk Procurement Center is suspected of abuse of power: during the procurement, he ensured that the commercial organization won the auction for the supply of medical equipment. A criminal case has been initiated. This was reported in September 2023 in the press service of the FSB of Russia in the Ulyanovsk region.

It is clarified that the 44-year-old director of the regional state government institution is involved in abuse of power in organizing public procurement under the national project "Healthcare."

The defendant, being an official responsible for organizing public procurement in the healthcare sector in the Ulyanovsk region, acting in the interests of one of the commercial firms, ensured her victory in an auction for the supply of medical equipment in violation of the requirements of competitive procedures. The illegal activities of the defendant were timely suppressed, - said the press secretary of the FSB of Russia in the Ulyanovsk region Anna Pshenichnova.

The name of the person involved in the FSB does not name, however, as the publication "73online" writes, we are talking about the director of the OGKU "Ulyanovsk Regional Procurement Center" Evgeny Kulikov. According to the SPARK-Interfax system, Kulikov has been the head of the Ulyanovsk Regional Procurement Center since March 2023.

A criminal case was initiated against him under Part 3 of Article 30, Part 1 of Article 285 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The suspect faces up to four years in prison. The FSB Directorate for the Ulyanovsk Region by the end of September 2023 establishes all accomplices in the crime and other episodes.

Kulikov himself was not arrested, since this is a crime of moderate severity, his own source specified to the 73online portal.^[1]
