2021: Death in an accident with an electric scooter
In early July 2021, it became known about the death of Alsa Fardieva, daughter of the former Minister of Energy of Tatarstan Ilshat Fardiev. While riding an electric scooter, she got into an accident in Moscow - a BMW driver ran over a woman.
According to RBC, citing the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the capital, a woman born in 1991 was shot down on an electric scooter at a regulated pedestrian crossing. The police added that the woman crossed the road at a red light. From her injuries, she died at the scene. On the fact of the death of a woman is being checked.
According to RIA Novosti, citing the Moscow traffic police and a law enforcement source, there were no numbers in the car that hit the woman. The fact that the daughter of Fardiev died as a result of the accident was also said by a TASS source. The interlocutor also confirmed that the car was without numbers.
RIA Novosti notes that on the official portal of local governments of Kazan, condolences first appeared to Fardiev in connection with the death of his daughter, but later the publication was deleted.
Fardiev served as Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan, Minister of Energy of the Republic in 2010-2012. From 1999-2010, he was the general director of Tatenergo.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, from January to May, 112 accidents involving individual mobility vehicles were registered in Russia, which include electric scooters, of which 24 were in Moscow. Compared to the same period last year, the increase amounted to almost 195%, the department noted.
In Moscow, the speed of electric scooters was limited to 25 km/h. In the capital, "slow zones" have also been created, where the speed should not exceed 15 km/h.[1]
