Education

He graduated from St. Petersburg State Electrotechnical University, specialty - "Engineer-researcher of electronic technology." Diploma with honors: Physics and technology for the production of materials and components of electronic technology. In parallel, he completed an internship on the same topic in Germany at DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service).

Career

1994-2000

1994 - began his career at Severnaya Verf, St. Petersburg, in the department of foreign economic relations. He was engaged in the purchase of electronic, navigation and radio equipment for ships.

1995 - in the German company "Giesecke & Devrient-LOMO" he was engaged in the organization of a joint venture for the production of banking equipment in St. Petersburg, headed the department of acceptance and testing of finished products, as well as the department of customer service.

1998 - As Head of Production at Lindstrom, he was in charge of Customer Service, Transportation, Equipment Service and managed the production.

2000 - began his career in the automotive industry at the Ford Motor Company plant in Vsevolozhsk as a Senior Production Specialist in the painting workshop.

2001-2017

2005 - Led the second generation Ford Focus launch project.

2006 - Deputy General Manager for Production, Toyota Motor Manufacturing. " Russia

2008 - General Production Manager, Toyota Motor Manufacturing Russia.

2011 - Held the position of Deputy Director for Production and led the launch projects for the next generation Toyota Camry production, as well as the 2nd work shift.

2017 - appointed to the position of General Director of Nissan Manufekchuring RUS.

2023: Appointment as curator of the automotive industry in the Ministry of Industry and Trade

At the end of February 2023, Igor Boytsov was appointed director of the department of the automotive industry and railway engineering of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. This position has been vacant since September 2022, when Denis Pak, who headed it for five years, resigned.[1]
