2025: Appointment as CEO of VNIIEM

Pavel Filippov was appointed to the post of General Director of JSC Scientific and Production Corporation Space Monitoring Systems, Information Management and Electromechanical Complexes named after A.G. Iosifyan (JSC Corporation VNIIEM). This was announced on June 6, 2025 by the state corporation for space activities Roscosmos, which includes VNIIEM.

It is known that earlier Filippov served as First Deputy General Director of Texnoprom. It is also reported that Ildar Khalilyulin, who previously acted as general director of VNIIEM, moved to the post of adviser to the general director of this organization.

VNIIEM Corporation was created in the fall of 1941 as plant No. 627 for the development and fastest production of electrical equipment for the defense of the capital. Subsequently, the enterprise was transformed into the All-Union Scientific Research Institute of Electromechanics. The organization's website says that its main activities are space programs, electrical equipment and control systems for nuclear power plants, equipment for the oil and gas industry, and electric pump equipment^[1]
