At the same time, political scientist Dmitry Solonnikov believes that such personnel changes may indicate qualitatively done work in the "crisis and complex" Jewish Autonomous Region (EAO).

Solonnikov also says that the appointment of Goldstein to the post of head of Komi may be associated with the election of the head of the republic in 2025, to the republican parliament (State council), as well as to the Council of municipal formations Syktyvkar (the capital of Komi). Goldstein's entry into office will allow better preparation for the election cycle.

Commenting on his new appointment, Goldstein said that he was "honored and greatly responsible" to become the head of Komi.
