Biography
Graduated from Faculty of calculus mathematics and cybernetics of Lomonosov Moscow State University with the diploma with honors.
In "BAT Russia" started a career in 2003 from a position of the business analyst of IT department. Later directed group of purchases and logistics on an implementation project of SAP. In 2008 Eastern Europe is appointed to the position of the IT manager of marketing in the region, in 2011 passed to work into the headquarters of British American Tobacco in London as the IT manager of marketing in EEMEA region, and since 2013 headed a global command on development of SAP for sales and marketing. Since 2015 – the director of IT of department of BAT in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, the countries of the Caucasus and Central Asia.

How did you earn the first money?
Darya Grishina: I studied in Lomonosov Moscow State University at faculty of calculus mathematics and cybernetics. I began to work even during study – the exit support and updating engineer Consultant Plus. It was time when updating of a system of law was executed by means of diskettes. I got good experience of communications, learned to improve the relations with people and ever since I very well understand that our children working in the area of helpdesk feel. For me it there was also first money which I as the student was very proud to earn, feel independence of parents.
And for what spent the first earnings?
Darya Grishina: Pragmatically began to postpone for purchase of a car.
What work became the first constant?
Darya Grishina: Work in Procter&Gamble company. I got on this place according to the special program of the training focused on students without experience. Began with the trainee, and after the termination of MSU passed to a position of the systems analyst.
Where did you for the first time get the first managerial experience? How it was?
Darya Grishina: Here on that P&G program I received, among other, and the first management skills. And then, working in the company, tested them in practice when began to direct projects.
What was your very first project?
Darya Grishina: The project on optimization of loading of trucks at factory was very first. We implemented the special software application to optimize loads. The project team was small, several people.
And how many now employees under your management?
Darya Grishina: 35 salaried employees work in IT departments of the countries which are under my authority – Russia, Ukraine, the countries of the Caucasus and Central Asia, Belarus.
What three qualities do you select in yourself from the professional point of view?
Darya Grishina: The first – commitment. The second – ability to create and rally strong team. The third – orientation to commercial result. It is especially important to remember the last – the IT exists not for the sake of IT, and for the sake of business. Always it is necessary to understand what commercial benefit of the company will be brought by each IT initiative.
What most of all irritates you in people?
Darya Grishina: The first answer which comes to mind – nothing. It is possible to cope with any irritation. But if to think, then the irresponsibility, non-obligation when the person does not keep the promises irritates. In this case the trust decreases and neither the solid command, nor partner interaction are impossible.
How do you cope with a situation when you face the similar relation? How do you cope with anger?
Darya Grishina: I analyze a situation, I try to understand what moves the person. And when you begin to understand what stands behind behavior what the person, perhaps, was ashamed to tell about, it strongly helps to suppress irascibility.
If you were forced all life to go to work under the same song what song you would select?
Darya Grishina: It should be something motivating and vital, for example, Queen We are the champions.
What would you be engaged in if you did not need to work?
Darya Grishina: It seems to me that I all the same would work. It is pleasant to me to see results of that, what are you doing.
And if the commercial result would be optional. And even moreover – if you worked not for salary for the sake of what you then could work?
Darya Grishina: For the sake of self-realization. Self-realization in work for me on the first place.
Then the question about a hobby is appropriate … What do you love, except work?
Darya Grishina: I very much like to travel: learn the world, the new countries and beauty of the nature. New impressions give me forces and load with energy.
