Gromov Alexey Alekseyevich (sort. On May 31, 1960, Zagorsk, the Moscow region) — the Russian political figure, the First Deputy Chief of the Russian President's Executive Office.
Biography
In 1982 graduated from Department of history of MSU, department of history of the southern and western Slavs. Knows Czech, Slovak and English languages.
During study at the university within a year was the commissioner of a Komsomol operotryad of MSU.
Service in the MFA
In 1982 — 1996 worked in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR, the Russian Foreign Ministry:
1982 — 1985 — the secretary of Consulate general of the USSR in Karlovy Vary, ChSSR;
1985 — 1988 — the embassy secretary of the USSR in Prague, ChSSR. During this period time got acquainted with Vladimir Putin.
1988 — 1991 — the third, second secretary of the secretariat of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the USSR;
1991 — 1992 — the first secretary of the General secretariat of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR, the Russian Foreign Ministry;
1992 — 1993 — the consul of Consulate general of the Russian Federation in Bratislava, Slovakia;
1993 — 1996 — the adviser of Embassy of the Russian Federation in Bratislava, Slovakia.
Head of the press service of the Russian President
On November 22, 1996 the order of the Russian President Boris Yeltsin it was appointed the head of the press service of the Russian President, having replaced Igor Ignatyev.
On March 4, 1998 the decree of the Russian President it was appointed the head of department of the press service of the Russian President Administration.
Russian President's Press Secretary
On December 31, 1999 in connection with early departure of the President of the Russian Federation Boris Yeltsin in resignation by the acting president Vladimir Putin was appointed. On January 4, 2000 Putin appointed Gromov the press secretary to the position of the press secretary of the acting president of the Russian Federation.
In March, 2000 at presidential elections Vladimir Putin was elected the president, and Alexey Gromov held a position of the Russian President's Press Secretary, having released from this duty Dmitry Yakushkin who remained to fulfill duties of the press secretary at Yeltsin after his resignation[1]
In 2000 there was the winner of an award of the Ogoniok magazine "for ensuring information openness of the Kremlin"[2].
During 2001 Thunders was a part of Board of Directors of JSC ORT.
On March 26, 2004 after Putin's re-election for the second term of Thunders was pereutverzhdyon at the position.
In 2004 was a part of Board of Directors of JSC Channel One which succeeded JSC ORT
Deputy Chief of the Russian President's Executive Office
On May 12, 2008 it is appointed the Deputy Chief of the Russian President's Executive Office.
On May 21, 2012 it is appointed the First Deputy Chief of the Russian President's Executive Office.
Family
Married. Two sons: Alexey and Danila.

- Gratitude of the President of the Russian Federation (on January 18, 2010) — for active participation in preparation of the message of the President of the Russian Federation to Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation[3]
- Order of Honour (South Ossetia), on January 14, 2009) — for a big contribution to strengthening of friendship and cooperation between South Ossetia and the Russian Federation, for the timely and highly professional help in break of an information blockade in days of the armed aggression of Georgia against the Republic of South Ossetia in August, 2008[4]
- Award of the Saint Reverend Seraphim of Sarov (ROC) of the III degree, 2010[5]
