Biography

Alexey Ignatenko was born in 1984 in Kaliningrad.

In 2007 graduated from the Baltic state academy of the fishery fleet. Got second higher education at the Oryol legal institute MINISTRY OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS Russia in 2012.

More than nine years served in law enforcement agencies, occupied one of executive positions in traffic police of Regional Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia across the Kaliningrad region.

Since April, 2017 headed GKU of the Kaliningrad region "Safe city".

2019: Minister of digital technologies of the Kaliningrad region

In January, 2019 Alexey Ignatenko the order of the governor of the Kaliningrad region was appointed the minister of digital technologies and communications of the region, the website of the local government reports.

Department which was headed by Ignatenko was created at the end of 2018 based on regional Agency on development of communication and mass communications. The ministry became the legal successor of the agency, having received at the same time the advanced functionality connected from digitalization of the region.

Key activities of new department are dictated by a problem of development in the Kaliningrad region of digital economy, digital technologies, information security, communication and mass communications.

The agency on development of communication and mass communications of the Kaliningrad region based on which the ministry was formed was headed earlier by Sergey Yevstigneyev. His contract expired at the end of 2018 and was not prolonged.

In May, 2018 Yevstigneyev told that transition of the authorities to a regional electronic document management system should become one of the main objectives at that time still of the planned Ministry of digital technologies and communication on the near future. It is going to start in 2019[1].

2020: Leaving the ministry, return to GKU "Safe City" of the Kaliningrad region

In January, 2020 Alexey Ignatenko resigned as the minister of digital technologies and communication of the regional government and again headed GKU "Safe City". Till April 20 duties of the head of department were fulfilled by Evgeny Ivanov, Ignatenko's deputy, the Head of Department of digital technologies and the electronic government. On April 20 Vadim Ryskal became the new minister of digital technologies and communications.
