Biography

He has wide expertise in producing and consulting cultural projects in Russia and abroad. A graduate of the production department of GITIS, he built a career at the intersection of media, art and international cultural exchange. Over the years, he worked as program director of the Snob project; engaged in the development of the Swiss sculpture park La'collection Air in the status of general director; as a managing partner, he was engaged in the international music project MDRNTY; joined Roskino's team as general producer of the Russian Film Festival, which aimed to promote Russian content to international markets.

Under his leadership, more than 20 Russian film festivals were organized on all continents, as a result, the best domestic films were watched by more than a million viewers abroad. Since April 2024, he worked at the MTS Media holding as director for interaction with the industry.

2025: Kionfilm Development Director

Studio Kionfilm continues to strengthen the team and expand the directions of work. Igor Chomsky, a producer, an expert in the field of cultural management and international projects, has been appointed to the position of development director. The company announced this on November 24, 2025.

The creation of this position is aimed at scaling the studio ecosystem and expanding 360 format projects that connect cinema, media services and offline environments. In the role of KIONFILM Development Director, Igor Chomsky focused on offline initiatives.

One of the key projects will be the festival of MTS Media holding "First Plan," which was held in March 2025 under the leadership of Igor. The Student Performance Festival focuses on finding new faces and helping launch the careers of young artists, directors, producers and artists. In addition, Chomsky aims to create other production projects related to the search for talent and the development of new formats for a wide audience.
