Biography

Born April 5, 1970 in the village. Kamenniki, Rybinsk district, Yaroslavl region.

He graduated from the Moscow Higher Combined Arms Command School. 2019: Governor of the Astrakhan region

On June 5, 2019, by decree of the President of the Russian Federation, he was appointed Acting Governor of the Astrakhan Region.

September 8, 2019 in the election of the Governor of the Astrakhan region for I.Yu. Babushkin 75.63 percent of voters voted.

September 17, 2019 took office as Governor of the Astrakhan region.
