Senior Vice President for Information Technology of Rostelecom

Dariy Khalitov, who has served as vice president for information systems development for the past two years, has been appointed senior vice president for information technology at PJSC Rostelecom. This was reported to TAdviser on May 13, 2024 by representatives of Rostelecom. In this post, Darius replaced Kirill Menshov, who left the company of his own free will and moved to Sberbank.

In the position of senior vice president for IT, Dariy Khalitov will directly report to the president of the company, he will head the information technology unit and the IT cluster of the Rostelecom group of companies. Its main task will be to implement the next phase of the company's IT strategy, focused on the period 2024-2030.

Darius will focus on the development of the IT team and the creation of a new IT cluster strategy until 2030, given the dynamic development plans of the entire company. In addition, it is planned that he will complete measures to transform the IT landscape and switch to domestic solutions in the context of complete import substitution of software and electronic equipment. Darius also implements new strategic areas: creating an IT cluster with a commercial component, introducing an artificial intelligence strategy and increasing the efficiency of software development processes.

According to Rostelecom, Darius has been working at Rostelecom for more than six years and has more than ten years of experience in the field of information technology in the financial telecommunication markets. He took a key part in the transformation of Rostelecom provider into digital services. Darius is responsible for the development of the IT landscape, internal digitalization of the company and import substitution of software. He implemented dozens of priority and strategic IT projects, formed effective cross-functional teams and trips. Darius also actively participates in the professional IT community, holds various leadership positions in industry associations and is part of working groups on key areas of industry development.
