Korobov Alexey Valeryevich - till March, 2009 the CEO of JSC RVC ("The Russian venture capital company"), the state investment organization created for the purpose of stimulation in Russia of own industry of venture investment and significant increase in financial resources of venture funds.

Biography, career

Alexey Korobov was born on November 30, 1967 in Leningrad.

From 1986 to 1988 underwent active duty in Armed forces of the USSR. In 1993 graduated from Academy of the Ministry of security of Russia, specialty jurisprudence. Received qualification of the lawyer with knowledge of the French and Burmese languages. Upon termination of Academy was on military service in FSB of the Russian Federation.

From 1998 to 2001 held a post of the vice president of Regional public organization "Department of the International Union of Economists in St. Petersburg".

In 2001 was the adviser to the First Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Northwestern Federal District.

From 2002 to 2004 - the adviser to the president of Regional public organization "Department of the International Union of Economists in St. Petersburg".

In 2004 - the chief of staff of Committee on the budget and taxes of the State Duma of Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.

In 2004 the qualification category of the state councilor of the Russian Federation 1 class is appropriated to Alexey Valeryevich.

From 2004 to 2007 - the first deputy chairman of SGU "Russian Fund of Federal Property".

From 2007 to March, 2009 - the CEO of JSC Russian Venture Capital Company. Alexey Korobov wrote the application with a request for resignation. "I do not see support neither from the Ministry of Economic Development, nor from Board of Directors (RVC)", - he told. Also Alexey Korobov noted that in connection with the intense situation which arose after check of activity of RVC by the State Office of Public Prosecutor of the Russian Federation private partners of RVC had a number of questions, and "it is impossible to clear a situation". Korobov did not specify, than he will be engaged if the resignation will be accepted at a meeting of the Board of Directors of RVC, having explained that he conducts negotiations, and "still final decision is not made".
