Biography

Vladimir Ivanovich Korolev was born on February 1, 1955 in the village of Pustynka, the Kalinin region.

In 1977 graduated from the Highest naval school of the name M. B. Frunze.

In 1987 ended the Top special officer classes VTRs.

In 1995 graduated from Naval academy of N.G. Kuznetsov, in absentia.

From November 19, 2007 to August, 2009 — the deputy commander the Northern Fleet of the VTR of Russia. In this position in the fall of 2008 directed a campaign of group of the fighting ships of the Northern Fleet in the Mediterranean region and the Caribbean Region. Ordered from a board of the cruiser "Pyotr Veliky" the international exercises in the Caribbean Sea. Under its flag for the first time in the history the big anti-submarine ship of the Northern Fleet Admiral Chabanenko made transition by the Panama Canal from the Atlantic Ocean in Silent and back and also for the first time during the Post-Soviet period of history made business run in Havana port in Cuba, made runs to Venezuela and Panama.

From August, 2009 to July 2, 2010 — the chief of staff — the first deputy commander of the Northern Fleet of the VTR of Russia.

On July 2, 2010 it is appointed the commander of the Black Sea Fleet of the VTR of Russia. There was in a position less than a year. The initiator of restoration of the Temple of the Saint prince Vladimir Equal to the apostles in Sevastopol and creations of a museum complex of the 35th coastal battery on the cape Chersonese.

On June 23, 2011 it is appointed the commander of the Northern Fleet of the VTR of Russia.

On July 11, 2011 it is provided to the command structure of the fleet and entered a position. Under command the Queen the ships of the Northern Fleet of the fall of 2012 started mastering of the Arctic and for the first time in the history made disembarkation of a sea landing to New Siberian Archipelago. In 2013 the Northern Fleet receives a special status — becomes trans-species strategic consolidation, in fact being the military district of Russia.

On December 22, 2014 management of the joint strategic command North is assigned to the admiral Vladimir Korolyov. On its management in 2015 there takes place deployment of the Arctic grouping of troops and military infrastructure of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the Arctic is created.

On November 27, 2015 it is appointed the acting as the Commander-in-chief of the VTR of Russia for the period of a medical leave Commander-in-chief admiral Victor Chirkov.

In April, 2016 the decree of the President of the Russian Federation it is appointed the Commander-in-chief of Navy of the Russian Federation. On April 18 the Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation general Sergey Shoygu handed to the admiral Vladimir Korolyov a standard of the Commander-in-chief of the VTR of Russia.

Is the only Commander-in-chief of the VTR of Russia appointed to this position from seamen-submariners and the most senior on age at the time of appointment^[1].

For May 10, 2018 Vladimir Ivanovich Korolev works as the commander-in-chief of Navy of the Russian Federation. The board member of "OSK"^[2].
