Biography

Till 1992 Sergey Kravchenko held a position of professor and leading researcher of the Russian Academy of Sciences, was engaged in teaching activity in Moscow and worked as the scientific consultant in the USA, the countries of Europe and Asia. Has degree of the Doctor of Engineering. Published over 50 scientific articles and holds more than 20 patents in the different fields of engineering.

Since 1992 Sergey Kravchenko works in Boeing company.

From 1994 to 2002 held the director's position in division of Boeing Commercial Airplanes in Seattle, the State of Washington, and later served on the vice president's post in the field of engineering and vendor management of division of Boeing Commercial Airplanes. Was a part of the leadership team which was responsible for development of airplanes 777 and 787.

Before appointment to the post of the president of Boeing in Russia and the CIS Sergey Kravchenko coordinated and directed development of strategy of division of Boeing Commercial Airplanes, industry participation, development of technologies, programs of services for civil aviation and projects for development of the new directions of business in Russia. Gave direct support to sales of civilian airliners and services to Russia and the CIS countries and promoted projects implementation of Boeing connected with the International Space Station.

In 2007 it was elected the board member of the American chamber of commerce in Russia.

In addition to the role on a post of the president of Boeing in Russia and the CIS, in 2017 it was appointed the leader of division of Boeing Global Services in the field of implementation of innovations (Innovation Accelerator Leader). Within this position Sergey Kravchenko performs the activity enhancing aiming at promotion of innovations in Boeing Global Services, interacting with a strategic command of division and also with the Boeing HorizonX command, building work according to corporate strategy and providing implementation of the innovation processes stimulating fast and large-scale innovations necessary for service business.

Sergey Kravchenko is a member of the Russian engineering academy, the member of the American institute of aeronautics and astronautics (AIAA) and the honourable doctor of the Georgian technical university.

Awards

In 2009 Sergey Kravchenko was conferred the award "Businessman of Year" of the American chamber of commerce which is issued to the most successful head of the American company operating in Russia.
