Biography

William Largent's career began at Touche Ross & Co. ( Deloitte ).

Previously, he held senior positions at Liebert Corporation, Metatec Corporation and others.

He was the head of the financial service of Plug Power, where he was engaged in the initial offering of shares together with the investment bank Goldman, Sachs & Co., as a result of which he managed to raise $150 million.

William Largent worked with other future members of Veeam's team at Aelita Software, where he was chief operating officer and chief financial officer.

He worked as a CEO at Applied Innovation, a public company whose shares were listed on the NASDAQ national exchange.

Since 2006, since the founding of Veeam Software, William Largent has been involved in the development of the company. He has more than 30 years of experience and leadership in growing enterprises.

On June 30, 2016, William H. Largent, who served as vice president, was promoted to CEO of Veeam. In this role, he reports directly to the board of directors of Veeam and oversees the strategic and financial direction.

In May 2017, he took the post of chairman of the committee on finance and compensation (Chairman of the Finance & Compensation Commitments) at Veeam.

As of October 2018, he is a member of the Board of Directors of Veeam.

At the end of October 2018, he was appointed Executive Vice President of Veeam Operations (EVP, Operations). In this position, he reports to CEO Veeam Andrei Baronov.

In December 2021, William H. Largent resigned as CEO of Veeam Software and focused on his role as chairman of the company's board of directors. Largent has been a pillar of Veeam Software for the past 15 years. According to Veeam, under his leadership, 2021 was a record for profit growth for the company.
