Biography

In 2006-2009 Victor worked in research division of Microsoft Cambridge.

In 2007 he defended the master's thesis in MSU him M.V. Lomonosova.

In 2009 received an award for the best work on the international symposium on functional visualization and modeling of heart (FIMH).

In 2009-2011 Victor Lempitsky worked as the researcher in Visual Geometry Group at faculty of engineering sciences of the University of Oxford in Great Britain and, at the same time, the consultant in Microsoft Research Russia.

In 2011-2012 he took a position of the expert in computer vision in Yandex Company.

Since 2012 Victor works at the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technologies (Skoltech).

2019: Appointment of artificial intelligence of Samsung as the Director of the Center in Moscow

On November 1, 2019 the Samsung Electronics company announced appointment in company management. Victor Lempitsky became the director of the Center of artificial intelligence of Samsung in Moscow (SAIC-M).

Victor Lempitsky joined a command of Samsung Electronics in 2018, having held a post of the head of laboratory in the AI Moscow Center. He became the most high-quoted author of articles in the subject category in Russia in 2018 and has an award of Scopus Awards Russia 2018. On Victor's scoring in November 1, 2019 more than 120 scientific publications.

Victor has experience and scientific activity in the field of AI and computer vision.

For last one and a half years in the center there was a young, talented and ambitious team of experts which already achieved several interesting results. A considerable part of these results belongs to area of generative neuronets and creations of visual content by means of artificial intelligence.
