Levchenko Sergey Georgiyevich
Sergey Levchenko is the Russian statesman, the politician.
Biography
Was born on November 2, 1953 in Novosibirsk.
In 1976 graduated from the Novosibirsk construction institute, and in 1993 — the Russian academy of public service under the President of the Russian Federation.
From 1976 to 1982 — the master, the foreman, the supervising foreman of the Krasnoyarsk management of Stalkonstruktion of Minmontazhspetsstroy of the USSR.
From 1982 to 1987 — the chief of the Angarsk management of Stalkonstruktion. Conscription: lieutenant colonel reserved officer.
From 1987 to 1989 — the chairman of Southwest district executive committee of Angarsk. From 1989 to 1991 — the second, then first secretary of the Angarsk city town committee of the CPSU. It was elected the deputy of district and city Councils of People's Deputies.
In 1992 — 1999 — the CEO of construction management of Stalkonstruktion in Angarsk.
In 1994 — 1996 — the deputy of Legislative assembly of the Irkutsk region of the I convocation.
In December, 1999 it was elected the deputy of the State Duma of the III convocation according to the federal list of the CPRF, was a member of deputy Agro-industrial group, the member of the committee on power, transport and communication.
In 2004 it was elected the deputy of Legislative Assembly of the Irkutsk region of the IV convocation.
In 2004 — 2007 was the head of CPRF faction in Legislative assembly.
On December 2, 2007 it is elected the deputy of the State Duma of the V convocation from the CPRF.
On December 4, 2011 it is elected the deputy of the State Duma of the VI convocation according to the list of the CPRF. Fulfilled duties of the vice-chairman of Committee on power.
Since 1993 — the first secretary of the Irkutsk regional committee of the CPRF, since April, 1997 — the member of the Central Committee of the CPRF.
Since July 3, 2004 — the member of Presidium of the Central Committee of the CPRF.
In 2015 together with other deputy of the State Duma from the Irkutsk region Anton Romanov initiated the request which is partially satisfied with the Constitutional court disputing the law limiting direct elections of heads of municipalities.
Since October 2, 2015 — the Governor of the Irkutsk region.
On December 12, 2019 the president Russia Vladimir Putin accepted resignation of the governor of the Irkutsk region Sergey Levchenko and appointed the acting as Igor Kobzev[1].
