Biography

Alexey Evgenyevich Likhachev was born on December 23, 1962 in the city of Arzamas-75 (Sarov), Gorky area, Russia.

In 1985 graduated from radio physical faculty, in 1998 – economics department of N.I. Lobachevsky State University of Nizhni Novgorod. Doctor of Economics.

1985 - the engineer at Gorky research instrument-making institute.

1985-1987 - the engineer of Gorky research instrument-making institute.

1987-1988 - the secretary of committee of the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League Gorky research instrument-making institute.

1988-1989 secretary of Gorky city town committee of the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League.

1989-1990 - the I secretary of Gorky city town committee of the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League.

1990-1992 - the secretary of Gorky regional committee of the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League.

1990-1993 - the deputy of city council of People's Deputies of. Gorky.

2000: Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation

In 2000-2007 – the deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the member of the committee, the vice-chairman of the State Duma Committee of the Russian Federation on economic policy, an entrepreneurship and tourism.

2007: Adviser, department director, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation

From 2007 to 2008 – the adviser to the Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.

In 2008-2010 – the director of summary department of the analysis and regulation of foreign economic activity of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.

With direct participation of Alexey Likhachev there was an improvement of the Russian external economic legislation, its reduction in compliance to internationally recognized rules and regulations. Alexey Likhachev heads the Working group of the State Duma of the Russian Federation concerning state regulation of foreign economic activity, Expert advice on legal regulation and protection of intellectual property,^[7] is a board member of Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs^[7].

Since February 13, 2015 held a position of the First Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.

2016: Head of Rosatom state corporation

On October 5, 2016 the President Russia Vladimir Putin appointed Alexey Likhachev the head of Rosatom instead of Sergey Kiriyenko.
