Biography

Vladimir was born on August 14, 1955.

He graduated from the Novocherkassk Mining College.

In 1982 he graduated from the Leningrad Mining Institute.

He graduated from the graduate school of the Leningrad Mining Institute.

Doctor of Technical Sciences.

He worked in geological exploration parties.

He worked as a teacher at the Plekhanov Leningrad Mining Institute.

Since 1984, he acted as vice-rector for administrative and economic work.

From 1986 to 1994 he worked as vice-rector of the Mining institute/ Gornaya Academy for foreign economic and commercial activities.

In 1994 he became rector of the St. Petersburg State Mining Institute. G.V. Plekhanov.

As of June 28, 2016, Vladimir Stefanovich Litvinenko works as rector of the National Mineral Raw Materials University of Gorny.

2022: Transfer of most of his stake in PhosAgro to his wife

On May 23, 2022, it became known about the transfer of Vladimir Litvinenko's stake in PhosAgro to his wife Tatyana Litvinenko. The latter became the owner of a 20.6% stake in the company, and the share of the rector of St. Petersburg Mining University in one of the world's leading producers of phosphorus-containing fertilizers decreased to 0.39%.
