2026: Appointment as CEO of Cloud.ru

On January 19, 2026, Mikhail Lobotsky was appointed to the post of CEO of the Russian provider of cloud services and AI technologies. In this position, he replaced Yevgeny Kolbin, who headed the company since 2020.

Lobotsky joined the Cloud.ru in 2019. Under his leadership, the development of the Cloud.ru Evolution platform and the company's AI services began. In addition, he was responsible for working with key clients, developing hybrid and private clouds, as well as creating cloud solutions as part of government projects. Prior to his new appointment, he held the position of Deputy General Director Cloud.ru.

At the same time, Colbin completely leaves the company. It is noted that under his management, key stages of business development have been successfully implemented, including the launch of a cloud provider "from scratch," the launch of the public cloud platform Cloud.ru Evolution on the basis of the company's own developments, as well as the commercial launch of the Evolution AI Factory digital environment with ready-made tools for the rapid and easy implementation of generative AI.

By early 2026, Cloud.ru provides more than 130 different services for any tasks in the cloud - from site hosting and testing to running and adapting machine learning (ML) models. An artificial intelligence assistant is available that makes it easier to work in the cloud. The company has over 2 thousand specialists. According to iKS-Consulting estimates, by the end of 2025, the Cloud.ru provider ranked first in terms of revenue in the Russian market for IaaS (infrastructure as a service) and PaaS (platform as a service) services with a total share of 32.5%. At the same time, as noted, in the IaaS segment, the company's share is estimated at 29.7%, and in the PaaS direction - at 44.6%.[1]
