Career

2000-2006

In 2000, Andrey Pyshny accepted the offer to head the legal department of Oschadbank and moved to Kyiv. In 2001, he became director of the legal support department of Oschadbank

From 2003 to 2007 he was the first deputy head of the board of Oschadbank. From December 2004 to May 2005, he served as chairman of Oschadbank.

In 2006, Pyshny prepared and agreed with the Nabsovet a strategy for the development of the bank, which provided for the reform of the bank's corporate management and the introduction of independent directors to the Nabsovet.

2014-2019

March 21, 2014 was appointed head of the board of Oschadbank. For five years, Andrei Pyshny has carried out a comprehensive modernization of the country's largest state bank, bringing it to the market leaders. For four years in a row, Oschadbank became the winner of the comprehensive rating of "50 leading banks of Ukraine" according to the annual independent study of the Financial Club news agency.

2022: Appointment as Head of the National Bank of Ukraine

On October 7, 2022, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved Andriy Pyshny as head of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) instead of the resigned Kirill Shevchenko. 290 deputies voted for the candidacy of the former head of the board of the state-owned Oschadbank with a minimum threshold for making a decision of 226 votes.

Magnificent was present at the meeting of the Verkhovna Rada. During a speech in the Rada, Pyshny noted that in order to attract funds from international partners to cover a deficit of more than $30 billion a year, Ukraine needs cooperation with the IMF, writes Yaroslav Zheleznyak, First Deputy Chairman of the Tax Committee of the Verkhovna Rada. It is from the support of partners, according to Pyshny, whether Ukraine will be able to abandon issue financing of the budget.

Andrei Pyshny spoke in support of the 25% discount rate and the restrictions imposed during martial law. He noted that the official course of the NBU by October 7, 2022 is adequate and corresponds to the current economic realities.[1]
