2023: Appointment as General Director of the Academician V.S. Semenikhin Research Institute of Automatic Equipment

October 16, 2023 announced the appointment of Dmitry Merzlov as the new general director of the Academician V. S. Semenikhin Research Institute of Automatic Equipment (NIIAA JSC). This was reported by the press service of Roselectronics (within the framework of this holding, the institute is the managing organization of the automated control systems/ACS division).

The previous head of the Research Institute of Automatic Equipment named after Academician V.S. Semenikhin Sergey Dorofeev went to work at the United Instrument-Making Corporation (managing organization of the Roselectronics holding), where he will deal with issues of scientific and technical development in terms of the creation and development of automated control systems.

By 2023, NIIAA is engaged in the production of highly reliable, fault-tolerant basic computing systems operating under the control of a domestic secure operating system, as well as high-performance switching centers for a telecommunications network and a family of interconnected geoinformation systems, according to the institute's website. The main activity of the ACS division as part of the Roselectronics holding is the creation of automated control systems of various complexity in the interests of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and civilian customers.[1]
