2024: Opening of high-tech technopark
On July 25, 2024, a new high-tech technopark was opened in the Russian capital on the basis of the Academician V.S. Semenikhin Research Institute of Automatic Equipment (NIIAA), which is part of the Roselectronics holding of the Rostec state corporation. The order to assign the status of a technopark and the management company of the NIIAA technopark was signed by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.
According to NIIAA, the institute specializes in the development of dual-use automation systems based on the domestic element base. These systems are used in stationary and mobile facilities for state and military purposes.
Key areas of activity of the new technopark include creation of telecommunication platforms, provision of information security, modernization of geoinformation systems, development of software and highly reliable fault-tolerant basic computing complex under control of the domestic secure operating system.
Director General of NIIAA Dmitry Merzlov stressed that the status of the technopark opens up new opportunities for research and innovation, as well as attracting investments in the development of production facilities and the creation of new technologies.
The total area of buildings occupied by the technopark is more than 80 thousand square meters. Its participants will be able to access subsidies and benefits provided by the city authorities, - said Merzlov. |
At the time of the opening of the technopark, six companies have already begun developing their own products and solutions based on it. NIIAA management invites enterprises to become residents of the technopark for the implementation of projects in the field of information technology and other high-tech sectors of the economy.
Kristina Kostroma, head of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development of the city of Moscow, noted that the program for creating technology parks has been implemented in the capital for more than 10 years, and the number of sites that have joined the project is approaching 50. The city provides tax breaks and other preferences to developers and property owners who create conditions for localizing high-tech business in the capital.[1]

2020: Plans to open a vocational education center for "digital" competencies together with Roselectronics
On May 15, 2020, the Roselectronics holding of Rostec State Corporation announced the opening of the Center for Additional Professional Education on "digital" competencies for employees of electronic industry enterprises. The project of creating the Center became the winner of the competitive selection of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia for the right to receive subsidies from the federal budget.
The Center for Additional Professional Education will be formed on the basis of the Semenikhin Research Institute of Automatic Equipment (part of Roselectronics). It is planned to conduct training in 15 areas, including applied informatics, automation of technological processes and industries, information security, knowledge-intensive technologies and innovation economics, and software engineering.
Training can take place both in full-time and remotely. The duration of the programs is from 16 to 250 academic hours. The teachers of the center will be representatives of leading technical universities in Russia, as well as industry experts from enterprises.
As part of the pilot project, which starts in June 2020, up to 25 people will be able to study for each program. In order to become students of the courses, employees of the radio-electronic industry need to apply for training at NIIAA.
Enterprises of the military-industrial complex are faced with the task of diversifying production, creating modern technologies and markets of the future. The increase in competencies in the field of digitalization will contribute to the growth of the competitiveness of Russian radio electronics in the world market. NIIAA, on the basis of which the Center will be opened, has a rich experience in advanced training of employees and for many years has been successfully cooperating with leading technical universities in the country, such as RTU MIREA and MSTU named after N.E.
