2024: Launch of TPP at full capacity. Investments - 55 billion rubles

In the Krasnodar Territory in September 2024, the construction and commissioning of the third power unit of the Udarnaya thermal power plant was completed. The total investment in the project amounted to ₽55 billion. The new power unit is equipped with a domestic gas turbine of high power GTD-110M, developed by the United Engine Corporation, which is part of the Rostec structure. The project aims to reduce the energy deficit in the region and ensure the stability of the energy system in southern Russia.

According to Rostec, a subsidiary of Technopromexport Corporation has successfully completed comprehensive tests of the generating equipment of the third power unit, after which it began to supply electricity to the country's Unified Energy System. The GTD-110M turbine, first installed at this power plant, operated for 72 hours at maximum power, demonstrating the declared technical characteristics.

According to representatives of Rostec, the turbine was created as a replacement for imported analogues and is designed to become a key element of domestic power.

The project for the construction of the Udarnaya TPP was implemented under sanctions restrictions, using innovative domestic technological solutions. In close cooperation with Sberbank PJSC, work was carried out on the construction of one of the most technically advanced combined-cycle thermal power plants in the country. The installed capacity of the station, taking into account the third power unit, is now 560 MW, and the project for its further expansion is under development.[1][2]
