History of the company

Awards of the October Revolution and Labour Red Banner the Central Research and Development Institute of automatic equipment and hydraulics (TsNIIAG) is formed in 1949 by the order of the Minister of arms of the USSR D.F. Ustinov as TsNII-173 on automatic control of guidance of power units with a problem of creation of the high-precision monitoring systems and drives of targeting for perspective complexes of arms of Army and Fleet. Merge of the specialized divisions which were engaged in creation of the systems of remote control of overland and offshore artillery and antiaircraft emplacements, three scientific research institutes (MOS NII-20, WEI MEP, NII-10 MSP) became a core of creation of institute.

Since January, 2012 JSC TsNIIAG (the legal successor of Federal State Unitary Enterprise TsNIIAG) is headed by the CEO and chief designer A.B. Shapovalov.

The TsNIIAG group creates more than 200 samples of the special systems for the VVT complexes taken advantage of army and fleet, generally it is the pioneer works which do not have foreign analogs.

The first developments (1950-60gg.): electrical and electrohydraulic systems of targeting of antiaircraft artillery cannons, drives of ship artillery cannons, stabilization systems of tank arms, the systems of drives of starting complexes of ballistic missiles on a polygon Baikonur.

Further developments (1970-80gg.): for the Ground Forces (GF) – hydraulic actuators of self-propelled mortars of big caliber, the system of remote control of PTURS, a management system for tank fire; for RVSN – steering drives of ballistic missiles, hydraulic actuators of self-propelled launching units; for air defense – drives of guidance of the ZRK launching units, antennas of radar station; for the VTR – electric drives of targeting of artillery cannons of the surface ships, hydraulic actuators of targeting and stabilization of antennas of hydroacoustic stations of aircraft carrying cruisers and submarines, drives of launching units of ship ZRK, tele-command systems of torpedoes, hydrocomplexes and manipulators of deep-sea submersibles; for space – artificial satellite navigation systems, electric drives of space cameras, the system of guidance of space telescopes.

A specific place is held by works on creation of autonomous inertial management systems for the SV tactical missiles – widely known high-precision missile systems "Tochk" and "Oka".

TsNIIAG developed the country's first high-precision optical correlation and extreme system of aiming at the purpose for the managed head part of a ballistic missile of RK SV "Aerofon".

The institute solved a problem of creation of a new class of high-precision management systems of the rockets providing effective defeat of pinpoint targets with charges of normal equipment, having developed the management system which integrated in the uniform automated cycle processes of investigation, targeting, fighting management, preparation of flight tasks, start-up and aiming of rockets at the purpose. At the same time the unified mobile points of preparation of information and command and control vehicles are developed for formation of land infrastructure of a system of information support. The modern high-precision management system is implemented in OTRK SV "Iskander" (it is taken advantage in 2005).

The systems of high-precision targeting of rockets of different options of basing with modern optical-electronic blocks, high-performance computers, difficult program and algorithmic providing allowing to overcome effectively zones of missile defense of the opponent and to provide the required accuracy of hit in the purpose are developed.

Having powerful intellectual potential in information technology field, optics, electronics, hydraulics and ADP equipment, the Federal research and production center 'JSC TsNIIAG takes the leading positions in development of high-precision management systems and drives for arms complexes.
