2022: KamAZ bought out a share in the joint venture for the production of brakes from a German company

As it became known at the end of June 2022 , KamAZ bought out a share in a joint venture (JV) for the production of brake systems for trucks from the German company Knorr-Bremse. Previously, partners owned 50% each in Knorr Bremze Kama LLC.

The company reported in a corporate newspaper that KamAZ became the sole owner of Knorr Bremze Kama LLC. The relevant information has been entered into the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Interfax reports. The press service of the automaker says that changes in the composition of the founders of the enterprise will not affect the operation of production.

The company continues its production activities due to the high localization of products and intends to further develop the product line for trucks of PJSC KamAZ, - said the head of the press service of the company Oleg Afanasyev

KamAZ, becoming the sole owner of Knorr Bremze Kama LLC, renamed it KamAZ Brake Systems. The operational management of the enterprise is carried out by the general director of Knorr-Bremze Kama Manfred Kindermann. According to the newspaper Realnoe Vremya, the Kama Automobile Plant bought a 50% stake from the German partner, paying him a nominal amount of 69.25 million rubles of the authorized contribution to the capital of the joint venture. At the same time, by the end of June 2022, it is not specified that KamAZ will continue to supply brakes under outsourcing conditions, as the European joint venture was "allowed."

KamAZ General Director Sergei Kogogin said at the end of May 2022 that all joint ventures of the company work with foreigners, despite the situation since the end of February after the start of a military special operation on the territory of Ukraine.

It doesn't matter how we "got divorced." Basically, we "divorced" from everyone in a civilized way. Everyone understands everything, and we work. All joint ventures work, they also produce products that are used by KamAZ for the same purposes, - noted Kogogin.[1]
