2023: Company Begins Operations

In early December, KamAZ announced the start of work of its IT subsidiary Kamaz Digital. It is positioned as a software developer, a provider of ready-made IT solutions and a digital transformation consultant for industrial and transport companies.

KamAZ said that the new subsidiary develops and implements software and complex software and hardware complexes for synchronous planning, automation and production control and monitoring of technological equipment and personnel.

In addition, Kamaz Digital develops data collection, fleet monitoring and management solutions, a set of technologies and tools for interacting with a car at a distance, an omnichannel system for interacting with service services and other IT solutions for transport companies.

It is noted that by the beginning of December 2023, the Kamaz Digital team had developed over 20 digital solutions, including the operational production management system and transport management system, the Kamaz Cloud real-time software and hardware complex for tracking the condition of trucks, a computer vision system to improve the quality of painting body parts, a unique fleet management system (Fleet Management System), corporate taxi service.

Kamaz Digital is also behind the development of Russia's first passenger service at the request of Chelnok, which operates in Moscow, the Moscow Region and the Republic of Tatarstan, KamAZ added.

By the beginning of December 2023, Kamaz Digital has more than 220 employees in four offices (Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny). The company plans to increase the number of employees to 400 by the end of 2024.^[1]
