2025: Transition under the control of Rostec

On May 5, 2025, the president Russia Vladimir Putin signed a decree according to which FSUE Sevastopol Aviation Enterprise is being transformed into a joint-stock company. After that, 100% of its shares will be transferred as a property contribution state to the corporation to promote the development, production and export of high-tech industrial products. "Rostec

The published document says that the Government of the Russian Federation must ensure the implementation of the measures provided for by the decree within 25 months. At the same time, the necessary acts must be prepared within three months.

Sevastopol Aviation Enterprise transferred to Rostec

The named enterprise was founded in October 1929. It specializes in the overhaul, conversion and modernization of various types of helicopters, as well as communication and navigation systems. The company performs work and provides services to ensure the country's defense capability, including co-executor of state contracts for the overhaul of Mi-8MT (MTV) and Ka-27PS helicopters, restoration repair of Mi-8MTV-2 for the needs of the Russian Ministry of Defense, as well as for the repair of purchased components of Mi-8, Mi-17-1V helicopters in the interests of foreign customers.

In September 2017, a decision was approved to transfer the Sevastopol Aviation Enterprise to federal ownership with the definition of departmental ownership by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia. Then it was said that this would speed up the integration of the enterprise into the Russian military-industrial complex and ensure the full utilization of its production capacities. In 2022, the Sevastopol Aviation Enterprise was reorganized - it became a branch of FSUE Aviakomplekt. And at the end of November 2024, it became known that FSUE Sevastopol Aviation Enterprise was formed by separation from Aviakomplekt[1]
