2017: Creation of a company

In November 2017, Rostec created the Center for Competencies of the Quality Management System on the basis of a subsidiary of RT-Technical Acceptance Corporation. The Competence Center will provide a unified approach to the quality management of the manufactured products and will reduce to 25% the cost of eliminating defects by the year 2025, as well as reduce the number of unfulfilled contracts by 2 times due to inadequate quality.

The Competence Center was created as part of the execution of the order of the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Military-Industrial Commission of the Russian Federation Dmitry Rogozin. The introduction of a unified quality management system is a strategic initiative of Rostec.

The creation of this structure is caused by the need to develop a unified approach in the implementation of the general model of quality management, regardless of the industry affiliation of enterprises and their products, which will form a single picture of the quality of products of all organizations within Rostec and increase the efficiency of quality management systems

The result of the Competence Center involves reducing by 2025 to 25% the costs of eliminating product defects identified at the development and production stage, as well as eliminating disruptions in the implementation of state target programs and reducing by 2 times the number of unfulfilled contracts due to inadequate quality.

The implementation of the development strategy of holding companies, industry complexes and organizations of direct management of the Corporation through the introduction of advanced domestic and international practices is a priority of the Center. In its work, the Competence Center will interact with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the Ministry of Defense of Russia, as well as other federal executive bodies.

"A single center for the implementation of policies and approaches in the field of quality will streamline relations with federal executive bodies, form a single policy in the field of quality, coordinate and unite the activities of representatives of holding companies and organizations of the Corporation," comments CEO Shorin Vladlen.

The work of the Competence Center will be based on the analysis of the quality of products and the results of the internal audit of systems conducted by RT-Technical Acceptance. One of the tools to ensure effective feedback within the Corporation will be the introduction of an automated information system that will allow enterprises to analyze the situation and identify problem areas that affect product quality, in fact, online.
