Along with condensate engineering, the institute has developed a number of important areas in the field of passive components, primarily, such as nonlinear semiconductor resistors, interference canceling filters, precision non-conductive potentiometers, photovoltaic and optoelectronic devices, special materials, etc.
For more than 70 years of scientific and technical activity, the institute continued to develop traditional types of its products - capacitors and nonlinear semiconductor resistors.
In addition, over the past 55 years, the institute has been developing in the field of infrared technology, as a result of which a technology for the manufacture of semiconductor infrared radiation receivers that has no world analogues has been created. On the basis of this technology, a model range of infrared multi-band noise-proof fire detectors "NABAT" (IP332-1/1...5) for use in conventional and explosive environments has been developed and mastered in serial production.
Today, the main task of the institute is to develop competitive products that correspond to the world level. The intellectual property of the institute is 45 patents of the Russian Federation and 1,500 copyright certificates of the USSR for inventions. The products are awarded more than 500 medals of various exhibitions and fairs, of which 31 are gold. Over the past 5 years alone, 6 gold and one silver medals of specialized exhibitions "For the best technical solution" have been awarded to NABAT fire detectors.
JSC "NII" Girikond "is part of the holding" Russian Electronics "and is the basic enterprise of the radio-electronic complex of the Russian Federation in the field of capacitors and nonlinear semiconductor resistors."
The Institute currently develops and manufactures electronic components, sensors and devices, both for universal use, and unique products for specific and extreme operating conditions (for the microwave frequency band, for operation at elevated temperatures and mechanical loads, etc.) and materials for them:
- capacitors: ceramic, oxide, with organic dielectric and with a double electric layer (ionists)
- anti-jamming ceramic filters
- nonlinear semiconductor resistors: thermistors, posistors, varistors
- precision non-conductive potentiometers
- photovoltaic and optoelectronic cells and devices
- infrared multi-band fire detectors
- high-frequency and low-frequency ceramic materials
- microwave ceramics: resonators, substrates, waveguides, etc.
- epoxy electrical insulation compounds: (filling and covering) and adhesives
