Approval of Robot Implementation Strategy

In early September 2024, it became known that KamAZ approved a strategy for introducing robots into production processes as part of an investment program worth ₽380 billion. This strategy is aimed at automating and robotizing key stages of production, which will allow the company to increase productivity and reduce dependence on manual labor. The program is designed until 2030 and is an important part of the development of the enterprise in new economic conditions.

The main goal of the robotization program is to release personnel employed in harmful and heavy areas of production, as well as to increase the quality and stability of manufactured products. By 2024, 231 robotic devices are involved in KamAZ, but by 2026 their number is planned to be increased to 615, and by 2030 - to 923 units. This will achieve a robotization density of 280 robots for every 10 thousand workers, which is one of the highest rates in Russia.

KamAZ approved a strategy for the introduction of robots in production under the program for 380 billion rubles

One of the most revealing examples of successful robotization was the introduction of industrial robots at the factory for the production of unified cab frames. Here, the automation level is 80%, which can significantly increase performance. 117 industrial robots were installed as part of this project, which made the plant an example of high standards in the field of production automation.

General Director of PJSC KamAZ [[Sergey Kogogin Sergey Kogogin said that the introduction of robots in production will compensate for the personnel deficit that is observed in the country. According to him, about 4.8 million workers were missing in Russia in 2023. Automation and robotization will become important tools for solving this problem, since one robotic cell can replace 2-3 people in production. This will create competitive advantages by improving productivity and product quality[1].

Implementation of computer vision system for body painting

On January 22, 2024, KamAZ announced the completion of an experiment to introduce a computer vision system for quality control of the application of paint and varnish coatings of body parts. The project is recognized as a success, and now the automaker will scale it, starting with the paint line No. 2 of the press-frame plant.

According to the press service of KamAZ, the solution is a software and hardware complex. The software is built on computer vision algorithms that recognize the image of the product, identify their type, count the products on the equipment, recognize the quality of the soil, etc. Also, the software part includes a web interface for employees of the technical control department and a system for storing archive data (from the event log to the archive of video recordings). The hardware consists of infrastructure elements (communication lines and communication equipment) and actuating elements (video cameras and server equipment).

KamAZ announced the completion of an experiment to introduce a computer vision system for quality control

As part of the pilot project, training of the computer model was carried out on a limited number of parts, as a result, the functionality of calculating the number of parts works at the level of 90-95%, and the determination of the quality of the primer of the product reaches 87-94%. The purpose of the project is to reduce defects in the priming of parts by reducing the influence of the human factor when detecting soil defects.

KamAZ noted that the implemented computer vision system determines the type of parts, their number and the presence of defects. Keeping the record archive and informing the responsible persons, it allows you to respond to incidents in a timely manner and prevent the transfer of defective products further through the process or ship defective products. The system minimizes errors in assessing the quality of priming parts before painting and reduces unforeseen costs, the company added.[2]

Kamaz launched an IT company to create digital transport solutions

In early December, KamAZ announced the start of work of its IT subsidiary Kamaz Digital. It is positioned as a software developer, a provider of ready-made IT solutions and a digital transformation consultant for industrial and transport companies. Read more here.

"We have a lot of SAP." "Kamaz" goes to "1C," but "1C" is in no hurry to create all the necessary solutions for it

In Kamaz, import substitution of software is at an active pace. The question is especially pressing with the replacement of SAP, which is a lot in the company. Director of the Center for Information and Communication Technologies "Kamaz" Yuri Shostak at the demodne industrial competence center (ICC) "Automotive" on September 7, 2023 told how the company is going on this process.

Currently, Kamaz has a unified IT landscape in which imported software is present. Three main platforms are used: SAP, 1C, and Teamcenter. The transition to Russian software instead of imported software has already begun. The target architecture assumes the replacement of SAP, Teamcenter and Siemens NX with their own developments and solutions, which Kmamaz is working on together with partners.

From the presentation of Yuri Shostak

Kamaz is working on the replacement of the integrated SAP Automotive solution, in particular, with 1C, in order to create a new standard solution for automakers. Within the framework of the ICC, this was discussed, and all automakers supported the initiative. If such a decision appears, it will be just fine - everyone is ready to switch to it.

File:Aquote1.png
This is our current work with 1C, until we agreed with them, "says Yuri Shostak.
File:Aquote2.png

The fact is that the part to be replaced is not as wide as the whole business, and there are not so many "car workers" in the market - the ICC is not very large. And the creation of a standard solution "1C" means a very specifically "sharpened" product, which will be used only by a limited range of companies, explained Yuri Shostak.

File:Aquote1.png
"1C," apparently, understands that there are costs that need to be incurred, and it is not known whether they will fight back. So far, we have negotiations on this topic, "he added. - If we do not solve the issue with 1C, we will write for ourselves.
File:Aquote2.png

From the presentation of Yuri Shostak

Kamaz also expects to transfer warehouses and personnel management from SAP to 1C, but there is no solution to the desired "size" yet: "we will, in fact, experiment on ourselves."

File:Aquote1.png
Budgeting: we started the project on the SAP system, but in connection with the events we switched, and now the project is underway on the 1C platform, "said Yuri Shostak.
File:Aquote2.png

It is also planned to start a project for the transition from SAP ERP: "We have a lot of SAP, we will gradually also transfer it to the 1C platform.

As for SAP software in terms of planning, here Kamaz has already agreed with BFG Group, and projects are underway. And the solutions for transport and logistics of SAP in Kamaz expect to replace their own developments.

From the presentation of Yuri Shostak

In the field of engineering software, not everything in the CAE class, unfortunately, has domestic analogues, says Yuri Shostak. This is what will need to be worked with. In the Teamcenter part, Kamaz plans to switch to its own development, but at the same time it also works together with Rosatom, which already has great developments in this area, to create a "heavy" PLM.

The Komotic platform deserves special attention, to which Kamaz is going to switch. Projects have already been launched, and preparations are underway to replace the Siemens portal for this development.

Yuri Shostak emphasizes that IT import substitution in Kamaz was not started now. Of the projects already implemented - moving from the Microsoft cloud to Yandex.Cloud for telematics, our own solution for monitoring equipment was created, all foreign RPA robots were replaced. There is also a decision on the transition in the area of PCS to the Cascade complex.

From the presentation of Yuri Shostak

In addition, there are plans globally to replace DBMS with PostgreSQL.

File:Aquote1.png
We believe that it is extremely important to switch to "boxed" products where possible. If they are, we need to switch to them, and our own developments - only where there is no current solution, and we really need it.

Apple technology ban by employees

The CEO KamAZ of Sergey Kogogin "" signed an order banning the use of brand electronic devices by employees of the company Apple for official purposes. The products of the American manufacturer are recognized as insufficiently reliable from the point of view. information protection This was reported on August 21, 2023 on the website of the corporate publication Vesti Kamaza.

The ban, according to the document, includes Apple smartphones, as well as watches, tablets, laptops, stationary computers and other equipment. Brand devices should not use corporate SIM cards. KamAZ information systems will no longer be supported on Apple gadgets.

KamAZ banned employees from using Apple equipment

According to experts interviewed by RBC, such a measure is relevant for all strategic enterprises. During 2023, it is possible to introduce similar bans on state-owned enterprises and with the participation of state capital, as well as on system-forming enterprises, they say.

State bodies and companies began banning iPhones at work after the FSB reported disclosing a US intelligence action using the virus on Apple mobile devices. According to the FSB, several thousand smartphones of the American manufacturer were infected. In addition to Russian users, the special service also discovered a virus on the gadgets of foreign subscribers using SIM cards registered with diplomatic missions and embassies in Russia. We are talking about the infection of devices of employees of diplomatic agencies of NATO countries and the post-Soviet space, as well as Israel, Syria and China.

After this conclusion, a number of Russian ministries, departments and state-owned companies, in particular, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Rostec, and Rosaviatsia, decided to abandon the use of the iPhone for official purposes. [3]

Organization of remote work of KamAZ employees

Kamaz reported on the first results of digital transformation

Kamaz in its annual report for 2019, published on July 6, 2020, summed up the first results of digital transformation. Kamaz was one of the first 10 state-owned companies to approve digital transformation strategies in 2018 in accordance with the federal Digital Technologies project of the Digital Economy national program.

The digital transformation of Kamaz provides for the formation and implementation of projects in all functional areas, including a new company management platform, digitalization of the value chain, infrastructure development and digital corporate culture. In the annual report, the company provides results and plans for each of the areas.

One of the key goals of Kamaz is to create a modern production of cars of a new generation of K5 "(photo - Kamaz annual report)"

Digital engineering

The global trend in design technologies is the increasing share of "digital" tests integrated into the design process. This trend is also characteristic of Kamaz. The development of innovative products is organized in accordance with the concept of the product life cycle. To do this, specialized software is used to manage requirements, perform calculations, store data - the Teamcenter engineering data management system, the annual report says. The developer of this software is Siemens Digital Industries Software (formerly Siemens PLM Software).

Digital engineering allows you to optimize almost all consumer properties of the car - cost, cost of ownership, fuel efficiency, speed properties, braking properties, reliability and durability, controllability and stability. Already in the conceptual phase, it is possible to check the feasibility of the requirements for the car and justify the requirements for its components before testing them, thereby reducing the volume of expensive field tests.

Digitalization of production and supply chains

In the field of digitalization of production and supply chains in 2019, the company began implementing such large projects as:

  • Planning and accounting system for repair and maintenance of process equipment;
  • Management of production transport for technological transportation.

In addition to large projects, the following application projects have started:

  • Unmanned vehicles to deliver components to the assembly conveyor of the car;
  • Augmented reality in assembly production;
  • Simulation tools to optimize part handling at the engine plant,
  • Technical vision in production and administrative processes.

Kamaz says that the first results from the implementation of a pilot project using additive technologies in pilot production have already been obtained. And in the plans for 2020, the completion of the project for the implementation of the MES system on the main assembly line and the launch of the implementation of the MES system on the company's discrete production.

An infrastructure is also being developed to ensure the collection of data in order to obtain information on the progress of production in real time, which will allow you to quickly distribute production tasks.

In May 2019, the Daimler Kamaz Rus cabin frame plant was opened, which is managed by a joint venture between Kamaz and Daimler AG. Kamaz claims that production has the highest level of automation in Russia. "(photo - Kamaz annual report)"

Digitalization of sales and service

The main task of the company in the field of digitalization of sales and service at this stage of development is to simplify the process of acquiring Kamaz cars and help customers improve the efficiency of managing the car fleet. To reduce the cost of ownership, generation K5 trucks are equipped with an intelligent transport information system - ITIS-KAMAZ. This system allows customers to monitor and improve the operating parameters of the car in terms of fuel consumption, wear and tear of parts, and reduce logistics costs.

According to Kamaz, the company already concludes full life cycle contracts with corporate clients, according to which it is responsible not only for the release of the product, but also for maintaining its performance throughout the contract. In 2019, a number of digital services were also launched on the market, allowing customers to solve a number of problems: a virtual truckinstock.com sales office, cargorun.ru logistics application management, and an online special equipment rental platform specsharing.ru.

The plans for 2020 include further steps towards the transition to the Car as a Service business model. The goal is to create a new business environment, involve Kamaz service and dealerships in it, that is, accelerate integration and organize joint business processes for remote diagnostics, and introduce an effective system for promoting digital services to the client. Customers will also be offered options to equip the vehicle with electronic equipment in order to monitor and analyze the required operating parameters using software, including mobile applications.

In addition, for 2020, the tasks of creating new digital services using insurance and leasing services are relevant.

Digital platform

Creating a digital platform in which a car is one of the components of the Internet of Things is an important task for Kamaz, the annual report says. K5 cars, buses, electric buses are able to generate and transmit a huge amount of data to the server, on the basis of which new applications are being developed. Work is also underway to create additional services based on data technologies.

For 2020, tasks are being set to create new digital services in the field of multimodal and international logistics.

Digitalization of the control system

The digital control system significantly improves the quality and speed of decisions made, as well as performance indicators. As part of this task, a major project was implemented in 2019 to implement data analysis tools in the company's divisions. To do this, data on the work of Kamaz were collected into a single repository, processed, compiled and provided online to decision-makers.

For 2020, it is planned to create recommendation systems in the field of order acceptance and development time management systems.

Digital culture

In 2018, the company launched the design and educational program "Acceleration of digital transformation projects." Its task is to create conditions close to the work of startups for teams that have passed the selection: the most flexible and effective, allowing you to quickly make and, if necessary, change decisions.

In 2019, the company supported 14 projects to create business areas that solve the problems of Kamaz and additional service services for external and internal customers.

In 2020, Kamaz plans to increase its project portfolio by launching a third wave of corporate accelerator in three areas:

  • "Business" - for ideas that generate regular income;
  • "Ecosystem" - for projects to improve the working conditions of Kamaz employees;
  • "Hypothesis testing" - for ideas to improve the internal processes of the company.

Leading Corporate Accelerator Projects

From the annual report of Kamaz for 2019

The appearance of a robot accountant

On October 23, 2019, it became known that LLC KamAZ Business Service Center (CCB)"" (COB) became the first division KamAZ of "," where business processes the software was configured to execute one of the robot (). RPA

Now 2-NDFL certificates for Kamaz employees are formed without human participation. Assistance is provided by a robot computer program: it performs certain actions for an employee, simulates the work of a person at a computer. As of October 2019, the robot so far forms only 2-NDFL certificates. In development - additional functionality, part of which is already working in test mode.

General Director of Kamaz Sergey Kogogin got acquainted with the process of the program and positively assessed the impact of robotization of business processes on operational efficiency.

{{quote 'author = said Sergey Kogogin' The joint work of people and robots is no longer a sign of the future, but of the present. A few years ago, Kamaz took a confident course towards reengineering production, and now many advanced technical solutions in the field of robotization are concentrated on the company's production facilities. It was also the turn of the offices. The introduction of robots allows us to take another step towards innovation and increase the efficiency of auxiliary processes by automating routine tasks, }}

Sergey Kogogin also noted that work in this direction will continue, since Kamaz is among those companies that have already appreciated the changes that artificial intelligence carries.

As of October 2019, Kamaz operates a number of information systems to optimize business processes. At the same time, to accelerate them, it is not always necessary to create new systems, sometimes it is enough to speed up the work of a person. Software robots should be connected to the implementation of this goal, allowing you to free up the time that was spent on routine operations for more complex tasks. With the introduction of robots, productivity increases, the risk of errors is eliminated, the process of forming information for management decisions is accelerated. Since robots can work effectively 24 hours a day, this is an alternative to manual labor, which significantly saves costs, and the released funds can be used to develop personnel or other investments[1].

Transition to the design of electronic CAT

As it became known on October 2, 2019, KamAZ, as one of the participants in the pilot project of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation for the transition to electronic passports of vehicles, began the procedure for their registration.

The countries of the Customs Union intend to switch to a single electronic format of passports from November 1, 2019. KamAZ is among the pioneers in the implementation of this procedure, and since September the company has begun to draw up documents in electronic form. As of October 2, KamAZ trade and financial company issues an average of 20 electronic passports (EPs) per day.

As explained by Maxim Vakhnitsky, Deputy Director for Supply and Shipment of TFK KamAZ JSC, the first batch of seven commodity cars with electronic passports was released back in December 2018. As of October 2, such virtual documents are issued for 230 units of vehicles. The first under the leasing deal were sent truck tractors "KamAZ-5490."

In general, the transfer of models to EP is carried out in stages: from July of this year, serial chassis were transferred, in August the list was supplemented with tractors and on-board cars, and from September EPs are accompanied by small batches of cars, dump trucks.

File:Aquote1.png
During the preparation for the transition to EP, a number of conceptual documents were prepared by the working group, which included several divisions of the company. Among them are both internal and external documents, for example, related to the exchange of confidential information with the administrator of the Electronic Passport JSC system. The information system on the basis of 1C was finalized, an encrypted data transmission channel was organized, the methodology and methodology for issuing an EP were determined, - said Maxim Vakhnitsky.
File:Aquote2.png

Also, the project participants are manufacturers of special equipment, banking, credit leasing structures, the traffic police and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, customs and tax services, inspection stations, dealerships, service organizations.

As noted, the electronic passport contains much more information. If there were 25 information fields in paper, then 132 in electronic fields. At the same time, 94 fields are filled in by KamAZ as a manufacturer, indicating all the basic technical characteristics of the car. After the car is registered with the traffic police, the EP already "lives its life" and, in fact, is the dossier of the car: then all information about guarantees, repairs, purchase and sale, change of ownership, etc. is entered into it.

Among the advantages of EP are the following: all information from different structures is concentrated in one place, the transparency of the history of the car increases, the reliability of the data. EP is protected from theft and fakes, it cannot be lost, because it is stored in the system, in the cloud. In addition, the cost of EP registration services when processed by the traffic police is half as cheap as paper.[2]

Implementation of MES on the main assembly line of KamAZ

At the automobile plant (hereinafter referred to as "AvZ"), the installation of terminals for the operation of the MES system began. The new tool will visually change the look of the main assembly line - it will become even more modern, light and transparent. The entire system of work at the final production of KAMAZ will also become more transparent[3] the[4]

The system will tell you

Only the deputy head of the car assembly workshop for technical affairs Ruslan Kustovsky decided to show the location of boxes with metalware on the surface of the mobile trolley of the MES terminal, a stand for a nut wrench was immediately attached to the side. On the other hand, there will be room for a scanner, which will soon become another main tool for workers.

File:Aquote1.png
- Now each MSR fitter must find the operations that he has to perform before starting the assembly on paper (in the pick list), and after installing the part or assembly in the control card of the car assembly put a special stamp. It takes time, - explains Ruslan Grigorievich. - After the implementation of the MES system, everything will be simplified. Paper media will replace the terminal. It will be enough for the worker to scan the barcode label on the part, and then confirm the operation on the touch screen. If the desired part is installed, the system responds "OK." Otherwise, it will be necessary to redo the operation, otherwise the conveyor will stop - the system will not allow further transfer of defective products.
File:Aquote2.png

As you move, the production operational system MES (Manufacturing execution system) will help the worker understand dozens of modifications of the car. Sensors (REFID tags) have already been installed on the line itself, which tell the system which car is currently going along the GSK, and, if necessary, will tell the worker which part from available needs to be selected and how to install. In addition to the electronic process, which is now being developed in the development unit, it is planned to include photos and video files with instructions.

In addition to the terminals and racks that will equip each workplace for installing parts (there will be 174 in total), a feedback tool will appear on the conveyor. The wrenches will automatically adjust to the tightening torque that is needed when fixing a specific node to a specific model, and send a signal about the operation performed. Fueling stations and test benches will also be equipped with intelligent systems. Also, in automatic mode, the transfer of orders for the necessary spare parts and components, their accounting and write-off will also go.

Keeping up with the figure

The progress of the conveyor through mobile phones and tablet computers will be monitored by craftsmen, shop managers and, of course, QCD controllers. The latter will have another tool - a video camera. Personnel without unnecessary time for a description will transmit an image of a defect if it somehow ends up at the red line of the quality gate.

The main task of MES is to provide a breakthrough in the assembly of premium KAMAZ-54901 heavy trucks. For this, electronic technical processes are adapted, and service services should know exactly from which components and parts the product is assembled. He will also become a pilot on which the entire interaction scheme of the process participants will be worked out. Later, its action will be extended to the assembly of K4 and K3.

MSR locksmiths look at new industrial interior items with a smile: "The future has come to KAMAZ. Craftsmen and foremen every day at five minutes talk about the progress of system integration - now the installation of networks is underway.

It is very important for managers to quickly receive feedback, the work system should be as convenient and productive as possible.

File:Aquote1.png
- Now at AvZ, together with the reiniginirig of automaking, several digitalization projects are being implemented at once - this is the introduction of a MES system, electronic technical process, identification and traceability project, reorganization of the logistics zone, - emphasizes the head of the production preparation department Ilshat Nurullin. - But any system works in tandem with a person, so it is very important to step in step with new technologies.
File:Aquote2.png

In July-August 2019, preparatory work is planned to be completed at AvZ; in September, MES is scheduled to be launched into pilot operation. Following GSK-2, the system will be implemented in the car assembly and configuration workshop, in the assembly area of new generation cabins, in the GSK-1 and in the subassembly workshop. And then it will step into aggregate production...

Collaboration with ABB to develop infrastructure for electric buses

2014: Key IT Projects

In May 2014 , Artem Golovaty, director of the KAMAZ Center for Information and Communication Technologies, told TAdviser what the most important IT projects were implemented at the enterprise last year.

One of the completed projects was the project for agreement of contracts and control of counterparties based on 1C products. This was done, first of all, in order to increase transparency, violations of the terms of contracts both in payment and in fulfillment of its terms, says Artem Golovaty. Another goal of this project, he calls the implementation of a compliance policy that sets the rules for which counterparty and by what criteria can be assessed and allowed to contract. The system created within the framework of this project is integrated with the SPARK Interfax system - a database for all legal entities and private entrepreneurs.

In 2014, the company also completed a pilot project to automate one of its large warehouses based on the SAP EWM solution - advanced warehouse management. According to the director of the KAMAZ ICT Center, the pilot project made it possible to straighten out many organizational processes. Taking into account its results, the company is considering a project to replicate this solution to other warehouses.

Director of the Center for Information and Communication Technologies "KAMAZ" Artem Golovaty

KAMAZ is also completing the implementation of the SAP Learning Hub cloud-based personnel training system . In 2014, based on the results of the assessment of user competencies, focus groups were identified that required initial training or increased competencies in new areas. It was decided to use the SAP Learning Hub as the main tool for training consultants. SAP Workforce Performance Builder has been started as an alternative training system aimed at business users.

Another major project last year was the creation of a single user interaction service center that uses the Microsoft System Center Service Manager solution . Incident management and service requests were implemented on its basis. This year, on the basis of the same product, it is planned to introduce change and release management.

The introduction of the collaboration tool - Microsoft Lync - at KAMAZ was also completed in 2014. After its introduction, various messengers were "killed" in the company, and Lync became the standard, says Artem Golovaty. Last year, a new KAMAZ corporate website was also launched. The previous site worked for about 10 years.

Back in 2014, the creation of a single service center was completed on the basis of the KAMAZ subsidiary, specially formed for this in 2013. So far, it is engaged only in IT, but in the future accounting and personnel processes will be transferred to it.

2013

Centralization of the IT Department

Kamaz completed the centralization of the IT service, transferring the IT divisions of subsidiaries to a single Center for Information and Communication Technologies (ICT Center), representatives of the company told TAdviser in June 2013. Artem Golovaty headed the ICT center in the spring of 2013.

According to the TAdviser source in Kamaz, during the centralization process, the IT staff of the corporation decreased by about 10%. Some of the departed are employees of IT departments of enterprises who did not want to be reassigned directly to the parent organization, as well as those who were suitable for retirement, the source said.

As of the summer of 2013, according to the interlocutor of TAdviser, the total number of Kamaz IT personnel is about 560 employees. At the same time, more than half of them are technicians working in the telecommunications direction of the company, he explains.

Even before the restructuring, Kamaz had a department that provides telecom services to both its divisions and third-party local organizations, including servicing local computer networks and providing access to. Internet Now this area, originally conceived as an additional business, has more than 1 thousand customers, adds the interlocutor of TAdviser.

In 2012, Kamaz transferred the main business applications to servers in a third-party data center located in the IT Park in Kazan. According to the interlocutor of TAdviser, Kamaz staff IT specialists perform critical work related to them, and for everything else they use outsourcing of specialists. In particular, they attract consultants and programmers from an integrator involved in the implementation of 1C in the corporation - the Intellcom company.

New ICT Centre Director

In the spring of 2013 , Artem Golovaty headed the Kamaz Center for Information and Communication Technologies . Before him, from 2010 to the end of 2012, this position was held by Mikhail Nosov. A source at Kamaz told TAdviser that the latter left his post after an audit was conducted at the company, which resulted in comments on the work of some of the enterprise's IT systems. After Nosov left, the position of the head of the ICT center remained vacant for some time.

Another source, well acquainted with the activities of Kamaz, notes that disagreements in the implementation of ERP solutions always exist, since they affect all areas of production and economic activities of organizations that have decided to make their activities manageable and transparent. By the time Mikhail Nosov arrived at Kamaz, the ERP SAP project had already been initiated, but the dynamics were insufficient, the TAdviser interlocutor said. Nosov's task, he said, was to update the IT strategy, to find non-standard ways to minimize inevitable costs.

During his work at Kamaz, Mikhail Nosov developed, having received the approval of the board, a five-year IT strategy aimed at reducing the share of legacy systems and transferring to the main ERP systems SAP, PLM Siemens, 1C accounting. To achieve the goals[1] strategy[2], he restructured and merged the IT services of the production sites (5 plants) of the main technological chain into a single Center[3] Information and Communication Technologies, changed the regulations, geographically and functionally redistributed personnel.

Nosov also reduced by 60% the costs of equipment and engineering systems of the company's data centers by implementing the lease scheme of IT resources[4] (Cloud, IAAS) in the republican data center of GAU "[5]. In addition, Nosov[6] to SAP a four-year agreement with SAP on the supply of licenses at the maximum possible discount, significantly reducing the initially required investments.

Continuing to search for sources of reduction in consulting costs, Mikhail Nosov prepared calculations, proposals and initiated[7] SAP AG and Kamaz with the participation of the President of Tatarstan in order to create a representative office and regional competence center SAP[8].

2011: SAP Agreement

In December 2011, KAMAZ signed a corporate license agreement with SAP. Impressed by the work of the Kamaz IT system, built on the basis of the solutions of the German vendor, the President of Tatarstan, who was present at the signing ceremony of the agreement, decided to promote it at the state level.

"I got the idea to use Kamaz as a training ground for officials. I will let all the ministers through the enterprise: look, they have already built a management system, but we still have it incomprehensible. " This statement was made by the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov at the signing of a five-year corporate agreement between SAP and Kamaz[9]

The head of the republic added that he is ready to personally provide SAP with support if the vendor, for his part, creates a republican competence center for its products on the basis of local technology parks (in Kazan and Naberezhnye Chelny), and will also cooperate with universities in the preparation of SAP consultants and engineers for end customers.

"We have already, so far informally, agreed that SAP is opening a competence center here to create a management system not at the enterprise level, but at the state level - in education, health care. We want to take you to the next level. I will work for your advertising for free, "Minnikhanov added
.

"For us, it is necessary that any student of an engineering or economic specialty has experience in SAP," confirms the general director of Kamaz Sergey Kogogin.

There are not enough qualified personnel, agrees the President of SAP EMEA Franck Cohen. "In the next five years, we need to prepare 10 thousand consultants in the region," he told CNews.

In addition to informatization directly from Tatarstan on the basis of SAP, Rustam Minnikhanov expects to replicate local developments to other regions, referring to similar experience in electronic document management.

We are not talking about buying licenses for government agencies yet, the Minister of Informatization and Communications of Tatarstan Nikolai Nikiforov told CNews. In the near future, according to him, seminars for ministers and mayors will be held at Kamaz: "Groups of 10 leaders will have to see the entire production chain here."

At Kamaz, as the first deputy general director of the production enterprise Yuri Klochkov previously stated to CNews, the three-year introduction of internal planning modules required 300 million rubles. The system integrator Microtest was engaged in the implementation.

In parallel, another SAP installation implemented by IBS works here at the Kamaz metallurgical enterprise. Its functionality will be gradually transferred to the main system, said CNews Klochkov. Also now, along with a large number of inherited self-written systems, a number of units use "1C" and "Galaxy."

The financial scope of the new five-year agreement for the supply of SAP licenses (their number is fixed) and support at preferential prices are not called by the parties. Igor Bogachev told CNews that it "is less than 10 million euros, several times less than the volume of the agreement with Sberbank (in that case, according to CNews, we are talking about $36 million). Director of the Kamaz ICT Center Mikhail Nosov says that the company received a "maximum 80% discount."

The functionality that will be implemented at Kamaz over these five years is also known. "We have already added inter-plant planning, not only between our enterprises, but also with third-party suppliers," Yuri Klochkov told CNews. - The module for storing general regulatory reference information (the old system migrates to SAP) is being implemented and internal planning is being replicated to the press and frame plant. We will also launch the project in the sales network, and not only our own sales divisions, but also third-party dealers will be able to install workplaces. "

2007-2008: Start of SAP implementation

In 2007, the KAMAZ group decided to modernize production management processes, primarily information management systems. An analysis of the production control system was carried out, as well as the solutions offered on the market in terms of automation of the control system.

In 2008, an order was issued by the General Director of KAMAZ to begin work on the project "Implementation of the information system for calendar production management of a group of organizations of OJSC KAMAZ." The software product SAP for Automotive was chosen as the main system.
