Biography
In 2013, he joined Itseez as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).
In 2015, he became CEO and co-founder of Itseez.[1]
Alexey joined Intel in 2016 after the company acquired Itseez, the main developer of the popular library of algorithm-computer vision OpenCV, where he served as CEO.
2021: Intel CEO for Research and Development in Russia
Alexey Myakov, Director of Computer Vision at the Internet of Things Group (IOTG) of Intel in Russia, will replace Ivan Kuzmin, General Director for Research and Development, who decided to move to another organization. This was announced by Intel TAdviser on June 22, 2021. Igor Lopatin, head of the department for the development of libraries for high-performance computing, machine learning and autonomous driving in Nizhny Novgorod, was appointed his deputy.
As of June 2021, Alexey is developing in Intel such areas as deep learning, AI, computer vision and the Internet of Things. His leadership also includes promotion and client support for the free Intel Distribution of OpenVINO Toolkit (Open Visual Infection & Neural Network Optimization).
As general director for research and development, Alexei will be responsible for the implementation of long-term plans Research and Development Center Intel located in Nizhny Novgorod, as well as for the development of products strategically important for the company, including in the field computer of vision, artificial intelligence, cross-platform optimization, ON high-performance computing.
