Biography
Oleg Polyakov began his career in the advertising industry in 1992 with work in the first media companies. At RA Aurora, Oleg was engaged in media banking, was responsible for creating and conducting campaigns for key clients of the agency - Procter & Gamble, BAT, SmithKline Beecham.
In 1994, Polyakov became vice president of Inter-ViD, which was engaged in the sale of advertising time of leading television companies, including in the programs of the ViD television company.
In 1995, he founded and headed the Komandarm agency. Among the clients of the agency are such giants as Samsung, Ford, Jacobs, Maxwell House, De Beers, Heineken and others.
In 2002, Komandarm created an alliance with Carat, part of the international holding Aegis Group Plc (now the Dentsu Aegis Network). Oleg Polyakov, together with partner Kirill Matveev, led the Carat/HMS Komandarm alliance, which received the status of an exclusive representative of Aegis in Russia.
Since 2005, Oleg has been president of the Aegis Media advertising group, renamed in 2014 to Dentsu Aegis Network Russia.
Since 2007, Oleg has been on the list of the best Russian managers of the Association of Managers of Russia and is a laureate of the Media Manager of Russia Award.
As of 2014, Oleg Polyakov heads the Dentsu Aegis Network Russia communication group (part of the Dentsu Inc. Holding), which is one of the leaders in the advertising market at the global level. In Russia, Dentsu Aegis Network is represented by media agencies Carat, Vizeum and Ad O'clock, advertising agencies AdWatch Isobar, Traffic Isobar, search/performance marketing agency iProspect, AMNET, which provides services for the purchase and sale of digital advertising according to the auction model in real time (RTCOB).
2022: Obtaining a stake in Dentsu's Russian business
On March 16, 2022, the Japanese advertising holding Dentsu announced the transfer of Russian business to shareholders from the Russian Federation - Kirill Matveev (serves as director for the Russia and CIS region Dentsu Russia) and Oleg Polyakov (president of Dentsu Russia & CIS). More details here.
